Clean room and hot shower. Breakfast was nice and staff quite friendly. In a good location to start walks around the area and close to the main plaza for transport. Lovely garden.

The staff was very nice, helping us with organising the trek to the Colca canyon, they also kept our luggage for the three days we went hiking. The room was nice and clean. We loved the terrace view, where we went star gazing and we saw the Milky Way!!

I highly recommend this place to stay! Cabanaconde is a small town, so everything is close by, including the hotel’s proximity to downtown and the hiking trail. The room was large and clean, as was the bathroom, and it was very nicely decorated. Great view from the room, delicious breakfast, a place where you can relax outside with hammocks, and friendly staff!

Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a bonus to be able to store our luggage.

The view is stunning. Also very friendly people and a good location to start hikes or horse treks.

We had a spectacular experience at La casa de Santiago. The views of the mountains are breathtaking, and the balanced breakfast —featuring delicious local cheese and local bread— was exactly what we needed to start our hiking days. I specially liked the hospitality and local knowledge sharing. The personal treated us super well and were very helpful giving information about the region and providing us delicius sandwich packed for our hiking. The place is very quite, we slept very well and the location is perfect for starting and ending the hikings.

Very nice stay in Cabanaconde, warm welcome and useful tips for the canyon. Don’t forget to bring enough cash. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. Good contact with the super friendly host, he also helped arranging a taxi to chivay for us. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

The location is ideal, and the surroundings are peaceful and stunning. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.

The shower was hot. For the rest everything basic as expected.

That's nice comfortable place to stay, especially for hikings aroung village - this hotel is very close to the beginning of hike downhill to the Oasis. Also you could have dinner there, so no need to look aroung in the village. A room is quite spacious

It probably once was a wonderful place, but now it felt a bit deserted. The room is ok and the shower is hot. The breakfast is complete and yummy. Staff overall friendly. Many people doing a multi-day hike in the colca cañon seem to skip Cabanaconde.

We had a great stay at Casa de Santiago! Edwin was a great host, and made sure we were very comfortable and helped us book bus tickets back to Arequipa, lent us hiking sticks for the Colca Canyon trek, and offered to store our luggage complimentary while we hiked. The property is beautiful, and a great location for hiking the Colca Canyon. The staff is all so welcoming and kind. Jenny cooked us great meals for dinner, and the included breakfast was nice. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have hot showers. Highly recommend!

Lovely hosts that accommodated in everything. Our car could be parked in a closed lot nearby. The hotel has a lovely garden where you can chill. The hotel is at the end (or beginning) of the Colca Canyon hike, so nice to see people at the end of the climb in the morning.
