It was as described, however we were pleasantly surprised with the space and multiple areas to lounge it was modestly furnished with little notes and so quiet. The night we stayed was actually crazy wind and rain so a bit rackety but other than that our baby slept in a porta cot in the lounge room the whole night it was dead silent. The host was very accommodating, loved the secret stairs to wategos, sun room and the view. Pitch black at night, great.

This place is absolutely magical. The owner is an incredible person, and the warmth, care, and attention we received made our stay even more special. You can truly feel the love put into every detail. The location is stunning and peaceful, with breathtaking views. I proposed to my girlfriend here, with an incredible view from the room overlooking Wategos it was the perfect setting. Watching both the sunrise and the moonrise directly from the room was simply unforgettable. This place is a perfect combination of beauty, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Without a doubt, we will be back.

Perfect location - very short stroll along a beautiful coastal path to either beach (The Pass or Wategos), doable while carrying longboards. Also an enjoyable walk up to the lighthouse. The house sits just above the lovely Raes Restaurant and a great morning coffee cart. Feels so lovely and quiet to arrive home to after a busy day in town or at the beach. Louise was an amazing host. Amenities are basic (original kitchen etc) but we loved this about the place.

I stayed in the large studio apt with 3 double sliding glass doors all overlooking a private patio and all with stunning views of Watego Bay. This older property has been given such a fresh charming decor. Thoughtfully equiped, everything you need including hob, small benchtop oven, microwave and classic espresso coffee machine. Louise’s great tips and warmth made my stay. Never used my car, scenic great walks in so many directions. Wategos beachfront is magical, and a two minute walk away. In the past we have avoided Watego beach because of car and parking issues, staying at Room with a view you get all the beauty, none of the hassle.
