Really enjoyed our apartment being set in the rainforest. The glass doors were very effective at blocking out any external noise. Amenities in the unit were excellent with a comfortable bed, excellent pillows, effective heating and a self-contained kitchenette including mini bar. Really loved the boardwalk to the Tallow Creek area - sunset was beautiful. This was recommended by a staff member and we did it twice. Enjoyed drinks at the bar and delicious dinner in the restaurant, with good options for vegetarians. Grateful for restaurant heaters, which were effective. Restaurant and bar staff were excellent and very attentive. The location of the property suited us as it was convenient to both Byron (especially the Lighthouse end), Suffolk Park and Broken Head Nature Reserve.

This is my second time staying at Crystalbrook Byron, and honestly, it’s even better than I remember. If I were any more relaxed here, I might be considered to be in some sort of coma. It’s so quiet, peaceful, and calming. The birdsong, the sound of the trees swaying in the wind, and the beautiful rainforest walk through to Tallow Beach are absolute perfection. I had a whole list of things planned in Byron Bay, but I ended up cancelling most of them just so I could soak up the beauty of this place. It’s one of those rare places where doing nothing feels like the best possible plan. The staff are lovely and genuinely kind, the rooms are spotless and smell amazing, and I love having a screened balcony so you can enjoy being surrounded by nature without worrying about insects. Can’t wait to come back !

Hospitality service and communication could be improved. We were advised after booking that complementary drinks and snacks would be available due to current construction works. I had to make enquiries about this and we were told that was no longer the case but as we had received the email advising this it would be honoured if we produced the email. An option of only 2 drinks types were offered. One of us preferred a glass of red wine which was not one of the options. We agreed to purchase a glass of house red instead. On checking out I discovered we had been invoiced for a whole bottle not a glass. The issue was corrected after I raised it. What could have been a lovely gesture and good experience was ruined unfortunately

As someone who has worked in luxury hotels and hospitality for over a decade, I can confidently say Crystalbrook Byron is exceptional. The entire experience from pre-arrival communications to our check-out and eventual departure was flawless. The resort facilities (even whilst undergoing refurbishment), the rooms, the food and the staff are all worthy of credit. We stayed for our anniversary with our 5YO and newborn in tow and loved that everything we needed could be found within the resort. We loved wandering the rainforest boardwalks, swimming in the pool, playing tennis, snacking on the verandah and enjoying the ever evolving treetops from our screened sunrooms within our family suite. The rooms are large, sectioned, clean, reasonably private and have ample space and kitchen facilities for a short stay. The staff kindly took our 5YO on a buggy ride to their onsite bee hives on check-out, and allowed full access the resort facilities pre and post check-out.

Everything. Such a relaxing enjoyable stay Super villa in a rainforest - first class Restaurant is superb if a little under staffed on the second night as a result of an unexpected issue. But the staff are so pleasant couldn’t be annoyed Pool and sauna are the best

An unusual and interesting layout with the rooms located peacefully among the forest. The staff are all superb, friendly, responsive and helpful. The facilities are good and the pool in particular is large and a good depth. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. We were able to borrow bikes too.
