Very nice, beautiful Original motel rooms, children love to sleep on upper floor Nice terrace with view to the lake Very nice and quiet surrounding Kind staff Friendly common room, you can sit there and have o coffee or tea for free

“Do not come here. Everything is dirty and smells very bad.”

Drive the extra 2 hours. Put up the tent. Pay a bit more some other place. But do not pay good money to stay here. We had made online reservations with short notice. We waited 20 minutes until staff came to the open reception, fair enough since we booked with short notice. However, staff wasn’t particularly pleasant and it was clear that the establishment do not survive on visitors coming back next year. The motel itself seemed like it came out of an 80’s on-the-run movie. Little to no furniture, everything was dirty, sheets already on the beds. What really appalled us was when we took the sheets off the duvets to put on our own sheets. The duvet was almost all-brown from sweat and whatnot, and the duvets had distinct spots from god-only-knows-what. We were so disgusted by this that we slept in our sleeping bags on the beds, feeling like we may as well have slept in our tent if not for the pouring rain and desperation. At morning, we showered and the towels smelled sour and old when we dried off with them, like they were neither fresh nor clean. The view was great from the room - the only positive thing I have to say for this place. Do not come here.

The location, older construction with turf roof and views from the rooms and common deck in front of the rooms. Separate upstairs loft for the kids. Swimming platform in the lake. Parking outside of the room. Spacious grounds and seating areas. Food & drink available if required although we did not try it. Washing machine available for use if required.

We had a one night stopover. Small but good appartment, good beds. Beautiful view!

We loved the terraces overlooking the river in the beautiful evening sunshine. We ate dinner outside and it was quite sheltered from the wind. The free all-day coffee from reception was good and they sell icecreams too. Lovely friendly staff and good vibes.

I really liked the view from the window.

Fantastic location with great terrace/garden directly at the lake. Rooms are comfortable, parking is easy, with a place to get some free drinks and hang out.

You get what you pay for. I read the comments on Booking.com and lowered my expectations. The location worked for me. Pleasant views over the lake and mountain. No TV's or WIFI in the room so very peaceful at night.

Very scenic, nice large rooms with well equipped kitchen area including a stove, small oven and fridge, nice powerful shower, great location for a night when arriving in Norway as only about an hour and a half from the port at Kristiansand

Perfect location, easy to reach & check in, spacious parking, nice view, friendly staff. They kept my room for me till late evening even without a prepayment.

A cool motel situated on a cool lake, with a view of the mountain on the other side. Great starting point for many not too demanding nearby walking trails. We spent a few enjoyable days here.
