Loved the energy and the atmosphere of the place. While everyone was warm and friendly, they gave us also space for privacy. Clean room, nice bed with good mattress. Especially enjoyed having an evening created by Hans and his wife Lisa, where we tasted the local cuisine.We dansed and had a good time with the rest of the guests. The area is quiet, non commercial. Enough restaurants around, ok for a short stay. Good position to reach the The Rock area, or Jambiani, or Jozani Forest, by taxi, tuk tuk or even daladala (it stops on the main road, you just need to wave). Kind staff helped us get around. Beautiful shells on the beach (I did not find the same in Nungwi). A nice private area on the terrace to relax in the evenings (very few mosquitos, even when reading with the light on at night, but do bring your tropical insect repellent, you never know). Good breakfast, excellent smoothies - try the one with ginger. Thanks to Kimario for his tips and thoughfulness, he is a fantastic staff manager, very friendly and nice, excellent communication via Whatsapp, kind staff as well. We had dinner at Hoom restaurant once. The choice is limited, but it was fine.

The staff are always untouchably amazing , kind , considerate. I had my 2 month old baby with me and the dadas at breakfast helped me out to sit somewhere easy being alone with the baby and played with her whilst I sorted my stuff out! Room clean and comfy, good ac, nice and cool. 0 faults as a returning customer and will return again.

“Brilliant stay at Hoom”

Hoom was a great find for our stay at Zanzibar. Hans and his fabulous team were there to meet us when we arrived (very early in the morning!) And kindly allowed us to check in early. It was fantastic to hear how Hans and his wife had built Hoom and their love story! We had 2 rooms at Hoom for our family for our stay. Both were lovely, clean and equipped with mosquito nets and decorated in keeping with the local style. Hans provided great guidance on trips (as well as a helpful booklet)and put us in touch with local drivers who were able to arrange airport transfers, tour guides and equipment for boat trips, snorkeling etc. Hoom is in a quieter part of Zanzibar which really suited us as we wanted to relax, it is set just off the beach down a little track with steps taking you directly on the beach in a matter on minutes! There are lots of little beach bars and restaurants within a short walk. We felt safe at all times and at night as there was the added bonus of a night time security guard. A continuous supply of electricity is a challenge in Zanzibar but Hoom have this covered as they have solar so the interruptions of power we experienced were really minimal and to be honest added to the fun of the experience. It's fair to say we had an absolutely fantastic time. We didnt want to leave.. We will miss everyone at Hoom who made is feel so welcome and we can't wait to come back!

Great location about 100 metres away from the beach. Staff went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and were very helpful. Having night time security also made me feel more safe as this was my first time visiting Zanzibar.

The pool, staff, room, environment, location, breakfast, cleanliness, everything was amazing. We recommend it very much to anybody.

The accommodation in HOOM was absolutely amazing. It's a beautiful quiet oasis with a clean pool. The overall environment is well maintained. There is a fully equipped kitchen, which is a great advantage. If you want to enjoy some quiet time I definitely recommend it. Bwejuu beach is not that famous so you are mostly alone in this area, but if you don't like the hustle and bustle of touristy places this is the accommodation for you.

Great house with nice rooms and nice garden views. If you are looking for quiet place to relax it is a good choice. Lovely swimming pool and lots of places to relax, read books and enjoy sun. Close to the beach and beach restaurants. Hans and Lisa are great hosts. They are supported by friendly and helpful staff. You feel here like at home! Highly recommended.

Definitely is best place to stay at bwejuu beach. Hans and HOOM family is super kind and welcoming. Feeling just like at home. Everything was good. Hope in future I will stay longer. Thanks for everything.
