Very kind and helpful staff, especially the reception. Breakfast was good with a decent variety. The resort let us switch rooms after a noise issue outside our original room without a quarrel.

My daughter and loved staying at Helwas Beach Hotel. Our stay there far exceeded our expectations! The hosts, Ursula and Jeffrey were incredibly welcoming, helpful and charming! The food - both breakfast & other meals were all prepared fresh, l and were exceptional. The complimentary breakfast was remarkable, including fresh juice & fruit, toast & homemade jam, and a main dish…all incredibly yummy! Our room was impeccably clean, large & lovely as well. It is about a 25 minute walk along the beach to Paje or a short TukTuk/ taxi ride. We highly recommend here.

I stayed here for the last few nights of my trip and everything was perfect. The room was spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and I could even hear the waves of the ocean when I went to sleep. It's peaceful, quiet and located at a beautiful beach. You can have breakfast with your feet in the sand, directly by the ocean. The food as well as the cocktails were fantastic! Everything I had was absolutely delicious. But the best thing about my stay was how lovely, attentive and welcoming everyone was. You can really feel that Ursula & Geoffrey care about their guests and they make sure each guest has a great time. The whole staff is amazing, friendly and super attentive. They really make you feel at home! I will definitely come back!

The hotel is in front of the beach, so you can really enjoy the ocean view. The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was well prepared. Our host arranged for us with an extra cost daily activities/trips.

“Stunning, quiet stay”

Beautiful, small property in a quiet part of Bwejuu but within walking distance to Paje. The room we stayed in was stunning, overlooking the beach. The adjoining restaurant/bar was also very handy, and Mini the cat was very cute and playful.

The place is quiet and located near a local town of paje where the night market is active and many good places to eat Though the kitchen of the place is serving delicious food not to miss The staff are very hospitable and Ursula has great communication skills with gentle approach

We had a great stay at Helwas Boutique. The Place is very clean and nicely decorated. In the mornings we enjoyed a great a la carte breakfast with fresh juice and coffee. Also, the restaurant serves very good Italian pasta and coffee for lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful, explaining you all you need to know when arriving on the island. We were very satisfied with our room and all services. Thanks Ursula and Jeffrey for the great time!

Helwas Zanzibar was a true oasis of well-being for us. From arrival to departure, we were warmly welcomed. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and attentive. The owners in particular deserve special mention. Their passion for the island and their hotel is evident at every moment. They always take time for their guests, answer questions patiently, and give helpful tips. You immediately feel incredibly comfortable and among friends. The food was fantastic – fresh seafood and creative dishes. The rooms are furnished with just as much love and are cleaned extremely thoroughly. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the island, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Paje is still easy to reach (25 minutes on foot). On our next trip to Zanzibar, we would definitely book this hotel again.

The atmosphere and landscape is fantastic. Everything gets better if you add up the good food of the restaurant, hotel staff and owners who are always available for help or suggestions.

We loved that the hotel is right on the beachfront, offering beautiful views and easy access to the ocean. Another great feature is that, in case of power outage, they have solar power, so you can charge your phone. There was a lovely puppy.

Absolutely wonderful location and place. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we immediately felt at home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our bags were taken to the room. The room is very modern, spacious and beautiful. The location of the suite is in front of the beach. The most beautiful sunrise in the morning with coffee. You wake up with the sea in front of you. We enjoyed the armchairs on the balcony every evening while looking at the sea with sundowners. We felt very safe, and the gardens were very beautiful. The food was very tasty. We had a wonderful time and will cherish the memories we made.

Lovely quiet place to stay. The staff are friendly, the included breakfast is great and the rooms are clean and spacious.There is a gourmet restaurant with local and western food and a bar with happy hour. It is a lovely short walk along the beach to Paje town.
