“Perfect value-for-money option”

If you are looking for a perfect value-for-money option (not in the high-end segment), Bellevue would be your choice. It is a small guesthouse with only about 6 bungalows in a wonderful small tropical garden. You have access to the beach through another (small) hotel/bungalow complex belonging to the same owners. The rooms are rather simple, but fully fulfilled our expectations. There are several breakfast options. If you want lunch or dinner, you can go the mentioned hotel complex or a nice simple restaurant nearby directly at the beach as well. Of particular mention: the staff! Extremely nice and friendly, welcoming everybody very warmly. They were very sensitive to our special family situation and did everything to make our stay wonderful.

“Great Stay in Zanzibar”

We stayed 3 Days at Bellevue Zanzibar and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable . The room was clean and extremely comfortable. I especially appreciated the thoughtful details and the style The breakfast was outstanding, offering a variety of fresh, local options beautifully presented. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was equally impressive – delicious cuisine, elegantly plated, and served with care. This place exceeded my expectations in every way. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Zanzibar.

“Great place for an authentic stay at a reasonable price, highly recommend!”

The whole staff was very friendly and helpful, they were flexible with the check-in and out hours, prepared breakfast ahead when we went out on activities early in the next day. The breakfasts were delicious (though a bit repetitive after a while) with fresh fruits and juices. Location was great, most of the island is relatively easy to access from here, we've even walked to Paje twice on the beach. The guesthouse itself doesn't have direct beach access, but I think that's fine in this price range, and it was just a 3 minute walk from our bungalow. There are a few restaurants/hotels where we had a couple dinners on the beach.

Aliya Is a fantastic host! She is kind, enthusiastic, and so helpful. All the staff were great,and attentive to your needs. The breakfast is amazing, and the staff there were excellent and the meals delicious. We were in a traditional rustic bungalow which was wonderful for its uniqueness, and had a beautiful view over the pool and in the gardens.. The bed was large and comfy and there is always hot water if you want it.

“Hidden paradise of Bellevue <3”

Amazing place! Bellevue is a little paradise hidden from the world! Paje remains accessible if you want to visit some more crowded places, but here you experience the real calm! Aliya, the manager, is the nicest person ever and you see directly that she cares on a personal level and genuinely wants her guests to have the best experience possible! You can also enjoy the facilities of Kijani hotel, since it’s the same owner, which makes the experience even better! Thank you all once again!

This it was our first vacation together as a couple, our very first experience in Zanzibar, actually in Africa. We have considered Bellevue as our home far away from our country, Italy, and we have enjoyed every moment surrounded by amazing people that we are very glad to have known. First we are very grateful for the availability and kindness of the entire staff, especially of Aliya; second we have lived 10 wonderful days here, cuddled up by the breathtaking view, good food and the location of bellevue: it seems like a paradise. We will remember for ever this trip and thanks to have make it unforgettable.

“Rustic paradise with everything needed for a relaxed, authentic Zanzibar Beach experience.”

This is a little haven away from the busyness of Paje but close enough that you can easily and cheaply get to places for tours or exploring. Can walk either way up or down the beach to visit a variety of places to relax, eat and drink. The hotel is set up in the trees where it is cooler, it is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach front and there are options of pools both up near the rooms or down at the beach - and bars at both places too - which is really convenient and adds variety. We had the deluxe sea view room and we were not disappointed- it was a big clean and rustic feeling room, with some fans to keep cool, comfortable beds and a good shower/bathroom. The staff were really friendly and attentive, the food was tasty - especially the Swahili Dahl and the Shakshuka - breakfast was fantastic. Aliya the manager is excellent, she really cares about guests having a great experience and she helped organise an incredible tour which was her recommendation and was the highlight of the whole trip. We will definitely come back in the future, this place is a gem!

“bellevue the oasi of peace ..”

everything perfect! staying at the bellevue is like being with family..we had a really good time..the property is really beautiful, surrounded by greenery and many palm trees.. the pools where we spent the afternoons are an oasis of peace.. the staff is all incredible especially the manager aliya, they are very sweet and friendly..I felt pampered every moment.. they also have an excellent restaurant with a romantic atmosphere and the breakfast does not disappoint, everything is delicious

Simple, relaxing cottages just one minute from the beach. Super-helpful hosts who organised transfers, recommended restaurants and helped with onward accommodation. Lovely bar/restaurant and seating area open to the warm breeze. (Shakauka highly recommended!) Use of swimming pool and beach bar belonging to the apartments on the beach. The accommodation itself was a bit more basic than expected but perfectly functional. Recommended.

“Relaxed and friendly”

The setting is lovely and the vibe is very relaxed and friendly. The staff were a joy and although the rooms are pretty basic they are quirky and give a sense of adventure. Just down the steps to the white sandy beach and access to a large swimming pool.
