From the moment you arrive, you feel the warmth and elegance of this place. Petra, the owner and manager, is truly exceptional—professional, attentive, and wonderfully down-to-earth. She has a special talent for making you feel instantly at home while still delivering a high-end experience. Paula was an absolute delight during check-in and breakfast—genuinely caring, attentive, always smiling, and incredibly charming. Silvia is equally impressive: hardworking, friendly, and dedicated to making every moment perfect. The property itself is a gem, the lobby, the garden - EVERYTHING. Its location is unbeatable—right on the beach and just steps away from the main street, yet the area remains peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are beautifully designed, each with its own unique character, offering both comfort and style. Very clean and fantastic amenities! Same the laundry-service - it was very fast and perfectly done for very affordable price! Breakfast is simply outstanding: homemade bread, fresh ingredients, and a level of quality and care that you can taste in every bite. Communication before my stay was fast, flexible, and highly professional. They also organized seamless transfers to and from Rio airport and shared excellent recommendations for restaurants and local experiences. In every way, this stay exceeded my expectations. “Heaven on a Stick.”

Wow!! Villa Balthazar really delivered! The warm and informative welcome email introduction by (a) host Petra was like an embrace. It set the scene.The hosts ( and Paula the Helper) were efficient, amiable, and discrete. The property is charming, tasteful, and relaxed. The situation, opposite a generous stretch of pristine beach , and a short stroll to the myriad of attractions “downtown”, cannot be bettered. Would not consider staying any where else.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Balthazar. The hosts were lovely, the room and common areas amazing, and the breakfast superb! Super convenient location, next to the beach, very quiet and we felt safe. Highly recommended!

“Balthazar is a very nice gem in Buzios.”

Balthazar location is great, close to many restaurants, convenience stores, boats point to short trips around Buzios and less than 50m to Canto Beach to see wonderful sunset. Everything in Balthazar is good: pretty rooms, delicious breakfast, cozy courtyard and beautiful gardens. The warm atmosphere complete the exceptional environment. I do recommend Balthazar and for sure it's a destination to come back.

The room we stayed in was beautiful (The Garden House) and bed was comfortable (Scandinavian style!). Best sleep I had since a while! Petra and Felix are really warm and hospitable. Breakfast was amazing, and we love the bread and pastries from their bakery. Check in and check out was flawless; Paula is delightful and very welcoming.

This place is amazing, the rooms are great and the breakfast is the best I have had in anywhere I’ve stayed. The hosts are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make your time in buzios the best it can possibly be. Highly recommend
