Overview
Located in Buxy, Les Songes de Buxy is 5 km from the A6 motorway and 16 km from Chalon-sur-Saône. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace with sunbeds and individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi. All the rooms have a flat-screen TV with cable and satellite channels. Very clean. Friendly staff. Quiet room with balcony overlooking the pool. It was lovely to be able to swim and relax by the pool after a long drive. Bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Thank you to the owners and staff for a short but enjoyable stay.

The pool was quite good as was the breakfast on the terasse next to the pool. Very quite place (except for the cockrel trying to get everyone out of bed at sunrise :-))

Nice location, good warm welcome. The swimming pool and restaurant were nice and welcome after a long day. Staff super friendly. The hotel is showing its age but is clean. Only downside is that the air conditioning was a bit on the past its sell by date in terms of efficiency in keeping the room cold.

Our stay was in September 2023. The best bit was the lovely, inviting pool and pool area. Also, has on-site parking which was great. Not ideal was the lack of staff at the time of arrival which was at a reasonable hour (15:00 or so). Although there were instructions (sent via 'messaging' on Booking.com) on how to access the property if no one was there, not all in our party received the instructions. Essentially, this would not have been a problem, however, the 'contact' phone number taped to the front door was not responding (at least on the day that we arrived), so there was no ability to access the rooms, till the one person in our party with the message arrived. The hotel was a bit sterile and could do with updating. Staff did not appear to be that warm or friendly, but maybe that was just her demeanor. One tip, the town is within walking distance (10 - 15 minutes). We had dinner at the gastronomique restaurant there (L'Empreinte) which was amazing.
