“Outstanding stay at a real castle”
Ir is a wonderful place, each single corner and decoration were strategically arranged. The staff is kind and helpful. I will certainly come back. Having a parking space was very convenient. The location is not a walking distance from the main interesting points, however it is on the hills with an amazing view, what was perfect, specially because it is easy to get to Friuli, local wineries, etc.

Beautiful place set among rolling hills and vineyards in a very picturesque area. The trattoria located on the estate is excellent, with a creative menu and truly delicious food. There are many lovely terraces and quiet corners where you can relax, plus an outdoor pool. Only a few minutes from Udine, yet peaceful and surrounded by nature. A fantastic place, especially in warm weather. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, good breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. It was my birthday, maybe a room upgrade would have been nice since the place was as good as empty. It is those little things that makes the difference.

Conveniently located for excursions to Trieste, Grado, Udine etc Very well kept location, tastefully decorated. Great breakfast selection. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, from reception to cleaners and waiters. Excellent restaurant.

“Perfect stay”
The castle is beautiful, our room and bathroom were spacious and nicely arranged, though the room could have a bit more light. The pool is wonderful, as are the gardens around the castle. Inside the castle and around the property there are plenty of cosy spots to relax. Castello di Buttrio is truly a luxurious accommodation in a beautiful setting, with friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was very good, the wine from their vineyards excellent, and we also had a wonderful dinner at a castle restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay! The breakfast buffet was amazing with plenty of variety and great quality. Our room was very comfortable, and the castle grounds were beautiful, with a lovely outdoor pool and plenty of space to explore. It’s a unique experience to stay in a castle - you can really take your time discovering the buildings and gardens. Also, it was no problem staying with our dog, which made the stay even better.

“Nice country house in the wineyards”
Castello de Butrio is set in a green landscape in the middle of wine fields. A very quite and rural area full of tradition. The Castello is a refurbished century-old building part of which is used as a B+B. The decoration is very nice, the breakfast is upper standard European style, similar to a normal hotel.

“Fabulous”
It is an absolutely beautiful place. The room was very comfortable, and the property was lovely. The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buttrio is a VERY sleepy place but there are a couple of great restaurants. Check out the Enoteca and the Trattoria Al Parco. The only issue is that you have to walk to town. No taxi service.
