Overview
Situated within the borders of Tsehlanyane National Park, Maliba River Lodge features self-catering chalets, a spa, restaurant, and bar. The lodge also offers hiking and horse riding in the surrounding area. The chalets are heated and come with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is an open-plan lounge and dining area, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Each chalet also has a balcony and patio with river views. Guests can cook their own meals in the private chalet kitchens or dine at the restaurant. The spa offers a variety of relaxing massages. There is also a Kids’s Club at the lodge. Maliba River Lodge is located in the northern part of Lesotho, 300 km from the Liphofang Caves and 350 km from Katse Dam. Johannesburg International Airport is a 4.5-hour drive away.

“It was a thoroughly memorable time at Maliba and we enjoyed it so much we'd like to visit again.”
We loved the walking trails and the horse riding service. We splashed in the rock water and loved to hear the water running near our room. It was a truly serene location and we got to appreciate nature.

“Nice house in an amazing location”
Beautiful location in the mountains, close to a river for a swim. The house at riverside lodge is well equipped with a BBQ and nice areas to sit outside. We booked a horse ride with the hotel which was good. The lunch we had at the hotel restaurant was good too.

“A beautiful location with fantastic staff and a genuine cultural experience — needs a modern touch”
The staff were amazing — warm, helpful, and truly made the stay memorable. I really enjoyed the village tour; it was authentic and gave a wonderful glimpse into local life. The food options were decent, and the scenery around the lodge was beautiful and peaceful.

Clean spacious chalets along the river below the main lodge. Great value for money if you travel as a group. The views are spectacular from the bedrooms and balconies. You have the option of self catering or have meals at the lodge about 1km away. There is WiFi. If you are wanting to get away from the city this place is spectacular!
