“Set on the outskirts of a beautiful little village”

That you could order an evening meal made with locally grown organic produce is one of the reasons I booked us to stay here. Jani was a delightful, kind and helpful host. She was running the place solo at the time, her cooking was absolutely delicious . Our room had a beautiful view from the balcony and the breakfast was also wonderful. We will certainly think of returning.

“Quiet, relaxing and insightful (into the Basque country)”

It’s a charming, beautifully quiet spot, with great rural views. The ethos - which seems to me to be about simplicity, friendliness and slow living - suited me really well. It feels really rural whilst not being too isolated (a handful of other houses around, and a rail station 25 mins. walk away). Almost completely silent at night: wonderful!

Such a beautiful place in a peaceful part of the world. Everything is thoughtfully and tastefully designed. The food that Janí makes is top-notch, as is she! Marco is also an incredibly kind host. I hope to be back one day.

Nice serene rural setting, off the noisy street and city life. Quiet, peaceful, serene. Still not far by car to Mundeka. Hotel has got a rustic charme – I liked the design and details. Healthy and delicious vegetarian dinner, not inexpensive (24 Euros including bottle of wine per person) but worth it. Especially enjoyable was the roofed area in front to sit and eat outside even during a rainstorm. Grape hills nearby, wonderful white wine for dinner. Nice spacious rooms, perfectly clean. Overall a friendly place with a good healthy rural atmosphere. We will definitely try to return.

Liked the freshly prepared vegetarian meal and the room for overnight bicycle storage. Makes a great stop for bicycle touring in the area. Loved the sense of peace.

We have been very well received. We have received very interesting tips regarding the surroundings. The breakfast was locally inspired and very good. The train trip to Bilbao (from Gernika) is very scenic and spares one with the hassles of parking a car in a big city. The coast to the north as well as the bay are very scenic too.

The hotel is very nicely situated next to a vineyard and on the hill. It is comfortable, although the beds (mattresses) were not to our liking. Breakfast was very nice, lot's of healthy yummy things.

Beautiful location for visiting the coastal area. The room was big and had a little balcony with a view on the mountain. The building itself had a nice rural look, which suited the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
