“Best homestay in Philippines”

I’ve been travelling for 1 year and Zia Homestay is the best place I’ve stayed! The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and full of thoughtful details. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The common areas are also great, with spaces to relax and socialise, a fully equipped kitchen and a cute garden. I have to do a lot of video calls for work and the WiFi works perfectly. The town is nicer than General Luna and from the homestay you are just a one‑minute walk from the beach. But the best thing of all is the owners. They do everything they can to make your stay a great experience. They genuinely helped me a lot with an emergency I had. They are really kind people and very nice to chat with. If I come back to the Philippines, I will definitely stay at Zia again. Thank you so much for everything :)

The hosts were lovely and welcoming. They gave us fantastic recommandations for things to do, see and eat! The location is in a beautiful small town with a real community feel, with lots a great places nearby to visit. We loved the location and Zia’s Homestay!

Had everything we needed!

Nicely done rooms, even though very small and toilets were so tight. But there's hot water in the shower, and there's a water dispenser with both hot and cold drinking water. There are sitting areas outside, with electric fans, and in the garden. The kitchen is so well equipped and more than complete, there was even an air fryer and a blender. We weren't able to make use of it but it would have been nice to prepare meals there, especially considering there are at least two stalls selling fruits and vegetables nearby, a meat shop across the road, and the fish market is within walking distance. The homestay is centrally located in northern Siargao, with short travelling distance to Algeria Beach in the north, and Pacifico Beach and Magpupungko to the south. There is a nice beach, as well, just a block away from the homestay. There are also many eating places nearby, although most of them were closed at the time we were there. But we had good grilled dinners at Beshie's. We were taken around by Jonathan, one of the owners, in his bao bao, who was a very able driver and tour guide. We were able to see many places in the area in just one full day.

The property is located just as you come into the Burgos village, it's a very quiet and relaxed town with some good food places to eat (Beshies!) and everything is within a 5 minute walk of this homestay. The owner was there to welcome us when we arrived and the room was WAY bigger than we thought it was going to be. The bed was HUGE and comfortable and had an extra bed that we didn't use. The aircon worked well and we also loved having the fan too. The room had a fridge freezer and water dispenser and a kettle to make your own coffees. The owner let us use the washing machine and there's also a 'communal' kitchen to use (we didn't use it). We were very happy with this stay and would definitely come again.

Everything was perfect. The room were nice, and I had hot shower and aircond for a really good price. The terrace and garden are lovely ! I felt at home and it was really cozy. All of this for a very good price

Such a hidden gem and amazing place! The host and her brother are so nice and helpful with everything! Clean and nice place. The only downside was that the kitchen was a bit dirty/dusty since it is partly outside, but it had a lot of good equipment !

Everything was great! Jean and Jonathan were friendly, giving some pieces of advice! Room was clean and comfy, aircon a little bit noisy but it is aircon lol Nice location, 8 minutes to alegria beach and another 8 in the other direction to pacifico!

Josephine could not be more helpful and welcoming. The place was spotless and had a full shared kitchen for use. Great location in the town and on the island, super comfortable rooms with AC, fans, private bathroom and everything you could need.

Very nice staff, lots of recommendations. It’s worth going up in the north of Siargao! It was also nice to have a clean equipped kitchen area.

We had such a lovely stay at Zia Homestay! Our initial room had a small issue, so the host offered to upgrade us to another room, which turned out to be a full size apartment! Absolutely amazing customer service. Besides that the lady was so friendly. I wouldn't call the accomodation luxury, but it has everything you need as a backpacker. Comfy bed, it's reasonably clean, hot shower, AC, well equipped kitchen area etc. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Good location in North Siargao, and great value for money

“Best stay so far!”

Our best stay so far in the Philippines. The host is simply wonderful and so helpful. Very clean rooms, the sheets and towels smelt beautiful. Great facilities and location, about a 2min walk to the beach. You’ll be missing out if you don’t stay here!
