How spacious it was

Beautiful setting. Great views of sea and mountains. House was different, lots of wood, clean, spacious sitting room upstairs and kitchen with beautiful views of the sea. Bedrooms all big double beds upstairs on suite a lovely surprise. Lovely horses opposite brightened up the little ones day.

“Big family break”

The views from this house are amazing!! House is a great size for larger families. Easy accessibility to Bundoran but quiet and picturesque just outside town itself. All in all I would still recommend and would likely book again myself. My kids don't want to leave. Enclosed garden for kids (or dog) to play in safely.

Location superb on the Donegal / Leitrim border, but property was great for our group. Splendidly quiet area on the edge of the Atlantic. Clean and well presented property, our guests in our group were blown away

“Distressing - so bad we had to leave after 1 night”

Do not book under any circumstances stay here. We arrived at the property to find it freezing cold and with no means of being able to heat it but an electric heater. we called the emergency line and through the night called on the hour with no assistance. We eventually had to huddle in one bed with all of the cold damp smelling bedclothes on top of us. we spent the next day in front of the oven with the door open for warmth. The owner of the property apologised but she was lying. She told Sykes cottages that there was nothing wrong with the property. it was freezing cold dirty and totally outside of the area of Bundoran. We bought logs etc for the fire on route to find it out of order. No welcome pack No WiFi and in need of a good clean. We were so distressed and the owner and the agent offered no assistance. We had no choice but to leave the property the next morning and pay a huge fee for another property in Kinlough. Shocking accommodation and even worse assistance from owner. Avoid it like the plague.

“Family Haven”

Myself and my family (6 adults, 2 babies & 1 child) stayed here for 3 nights and we found the house great for a family trip. There is so much space and the rooms are ideal for having multiple families travelling together. There is a games room as well as a living room and separate kitchen which was great for the evening when the kids were asleep to minimise noise levels. Bundoran town is only a 30min walk away if you want to get your steps in or 5mins in the car. We had a really fabulous time and a massive thank you to Marion who organised an additional travel cot and highchair for us.
