“Great views and better service”

Nanu is putting a lot of work into this place, which is already favored with a great view of the palace. The home cooking is excellent. He also helped me with some train bookings when my plans fell apart as they frequently do in India.

We visited many amazing places in our tour round Rajathstan but if I were to choose somewhere to go back to and spend more time it would be Bundi and I would stay again at the Castle View Homestay. Nanu was an exceptional host and it was a pleasure to meet him and spend some time with him and his parents. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, breakfast was simple and what you would expect from a small but good quality homestay and a real highlight was the exceptional evening meals we enjoyed, perfectly prepared home cooking vegetarian favourites......And did I mention the location, the rooftop terrace with views of the palace and castle and over the rooftops of Bundi are stunning and often referenced in reviews but I would also add how at home we felt in the local streets, shops and markets. There is something special about Bundi.

Lovely, welcoming host with clean and comfortable bed. The view from the rooftop is stunning. Evening home cooked meal was fabulous; one of the best I have eaten in 6 trips to India. The host is interesting and enlightened and was a pleasure to talk to.

View from rooftop was amazing. The host Nanu and his brother were very welcoming and home cooked dinners by their mother were wonderful. Room and bathroom ( although basic) was very clean.

The location was amazing, the view of the palace was a real highlight. Our host Nanu and his cousin Shlock were so so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even carrying my really heavy suitcase up the steep lanes! The home cooked food was delicious. Bundi is slightly off the tourist trail and this makes for an authentic view of India.

Great family run homestay in Bundi with the best views in town! Nanu was the perfect host, looking after us and helping with a Bundi Palace tour. The rooms are clean and spacious with fans and AC. It was a joy sitting on the rooftop terrace over breakfast and dinner enjoying the views. The food cooked by Nanu’s mum was sublime ♥️

The owner Nanu and his family are amazing and really helpful. The location is unbelievable, right by the palace but in a quieter corner of town. Dinner was sublime, and what a view! Watching the local life outside our bedroom window (with privacy screen) was one of our favourite pastimes - neighbours, children, cows, dogs, monkeys, birds, all together in a constant cosmic dance ☺️

The Castle View Homestay has the best view in Bundi. Sitting on the terrace watching the golden sunrise hit the fort was amazing. The a delicious homecooked dinner made with love was just wonderful and also the best in town. Nanu and his brother Shlok are great hosts who made sure our stay was an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you ❤️

“Spectecular home stay right of the door step of Garh Palace.”

this one is a gem - it is a stone throw next to the fort and Garh Palace entrance, the room is of good size, new and clean and very comfortable. Shower is hot and strong. spectecular view to the fort on the roof top morning and night, casual and decent food. the owner and family of the home stay runs the place lovingly.

The place was very beautiful with a perfect view on the Palace. The room was very clean. Also the host was very nice, helpful with tourist guests and cook delicious food.

“Great place to stay in Bundi”

This is a great place located at the edge of Bundi and immediately adjacent to the Palace. We could not have been made more welcome and our hosts showed every courtesy. We stayed three nights and chose to have dinner every night as the food was well prepared and wholesome. Nanu and Shlok were so helpful and genuinely friendly. The guide they recommended (uncle) Nayan Singh guided us in the Palace and his expert knowledge of art really added to the experience. He was so good we hired him the next day to visit a number of places.

Nice place to stay very clean and magnificent views over the castle. Shame we didn’t get to try the evening meal but breakfast on the terrace was good with amazing views.

A very pleasant stay, clean and friendly owners. Their rooftop is great, a super view on the castle. They also can prepare dinner if you let it know in time. The food was really great! Compared to other home stays or restaurants with the same type of food, the food relatively expensive.
