“Exceptional stay with lovely host!”

Stayed for two nights in this absolutely beautiful cottage. It was my sisters first time in Donegal and our stay was superb from the moment we arrived until we left. Martina has equipped the cottage with everything you could think of and we felt right at home from the minute we went through the door. Don’t hesitate to book you won’t regret it! Ps we were lucky to see four deer at dusk through the dining room window with Errigal in the background..picture perfect

“The perfect home-from-home for a relaxing break.”

We loved everything about our stay here! The property is located just off the main road and though it may appear modest, we were incredibly impressed with the space inside. The house was clean and cosy and we immediately felt at home. The kitchen was well equipped, as was the bathroom, and we thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the surrounding views. The host, Martina, also reached out ahead of time to ensure we got there without issue and she had also included plenty of recommendations for activities, shops, pubs etc. at the property. Overall, this was a great place to stay and explore the area and we would definitely book again.

Bright, modern, comfortable and well equipped in a gorgeous peaceful setting. We loved staying here; the pick of our accommodation so far on our drive up the wild Atlantic way.

We loved how cosy, warm and clean the property was. It’s a beautifully designed, modern 2 bed with beautiful views of mount errigal. I would not hesitate to book again.

The house is lovely, clean, tidy, perfect for us 3, 2 couples would be fine too. Great layout, dining room has views of Mt Errigal and leads out to a spacious outside area (if the weather is good!). Spacious bathroom with a great shower! Kitchen is so well equipped, everything you need to cook whatever you fancy! And finally, the location is perfect, a short walk to the local for a pint and not much further to the beach! Spot on for driving out to Glenveagh, Errigal, the poisoned valley, or any of the lovely Donegal beaches for a quick dip!

Everything was excellent!

My family had a great weekend at River Cottage. It's a great location to explore Donegal. My children enjoyed the swing outside and loved their large bedroom upstairs. There is a great view of Mount Errigal to enjoy from the dining room. I would recommend staying here and we will keep in mind for any future family trips to Donegal.

Inviting warm comfortable, all mod cons and special personal touches, lovely big stove with fuel for the evening, comfortable beds. Host very kind and helpful. All over wonderful stay and will definitely be returning 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Cottage. The house is beautiful & very comfortable. The facilities in the house are excellent. Simple things like having some milk, tea & coffee available to us on arrival were great. Martina & Sean were wonderful hosts & we hope to return to River Cottage again soon.

Lovely welcome pack on arrival with fresh scones, butter & jam. The River Cottage was located in a cluster of country house beside a river, with an amazing view of Mount Errigal. The cottage interior was beautiful decorated, and so comfortable, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and being able to unwind in the countryside.
