Everything really. The staff were superb, nothing a problem and friendly with it. Location very central to what we wanted to see but also located on the edge of a normal Uzbek neighbourhood - kids playing football that sort of thing. Quality facilities and a sense of home with hotel comforts and of course an excellent terrace right next to the biggest and most important minaret and mosque in the city.

In the two weeks that I have been travelling across Uzbekistan, I spent my most comfortable nights here. The staff are fantastic and are eager to help with anything. The food was delicious - and plenty of it! The room was spotlessly clean, with extremely comfortable beds, and a refrigerator that you can use for your own water and juice. And the location! Couldn't be better - this is where I would always stay when in Bukhara.

Great location within seconds walk of the attractions of old Bukhara. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Nice breakfast.

The staff were welcoming and professional. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. On top of that, the location was excellent and really convenient for getting around and close to lots of places worth visiting. I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a memorable stay.

The Location is excellent, literally outside the Kalon Tower and the inside the old city. Walking distance to all shops and markets. Very quiet and calm peaceful hotel. If you're coming to Bukhara look no further. It's a family run hotel and their staff are helpful, polite. Ibrahim the nephew to the owner who speaks very good English, is very helpful.

“Big room with 3 beds for comfort”

Owner, his family and staff are very helpful. Very quite place. Everything is clean and new. Location is perfect. We chose the big room for two.

The hotel had a great location and terrace for seeing the old city, especially at night. The rooms were cute and artistically fashioned, and the staff were uber friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great and were different each day.

The POYI KALON is a great boutique hotel in the historic centre with great views of the Mir-iArab Madrasa, Kalon Tower and Kalan Mosque form it's rooftop. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the other sights, especially the Ark and Lyabi Khause Square where you can find plenty of eateries.

“Hidden gem. Must stay there!”

Location was just perfect, just next to the KALON tower and other monuments. They were seen from the roof-terrace. We had the most lovely, friendly, helpful staff you can imagine. Helping with bags etc. We felt very welcome there. For few extra dollars you could have your breakfast served on the terrace. We regret we didn’t use it in the end (it’s recommend to do it early before gets too hot in the morning on the roof). Hotel looked new and very pretty. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was big, had a huge variety and it was tasty. Hotel was very cheap for what it offered.

I stayed 3 nights atvthis wonderful hotel. It's a hotel with fantastic location! Can't be much better than that! See photo taken at less than 10 seconds' walk from hotel. The video shows the actual settings btw hotel and the world famous Kalon Tower. You can see the tower etc from your room window and from the rooftop terrace!! I'll happily come to this hotel again next time I'm in Bukhara.

“Brilliant location and hospitable staff.”

Great location near the Minaret and wonderfully quiet. Roof terrace has stunning views. Staff were very obliging arranging cheap taxis and the breakfast was excellent.

Polite and courteous staff. Family run hotel. Helpful in terms of places to visit and places to eat. Helpful in organising shuttle from airport and to train station. More expensive than YandexGo but safe and secure and peace of mind. Breakfast actually got better over the three days. Probably because it is not a buffet system. They got to know what we liked, so we got more food and greater variety on day 2 and 3. The fruit is amazing - watermelon and melon were really sweet and juicy. Grapes, peach, plum, apricot, ..... yum yum. The location is fantastic, close to Kalon Tower, Kalan Mosque and Mir-i-Arab Madrassah. 10 mins walk from The Ark of Bukhara. Fantastic views from the roof terrace of the hotel. The hotel recommended the restaurant 'The Plov' and of course their national dish, of the same name, was delicious and very affordable. About 80% of the clients were locals.

Location iss good but Taxi cannot reach the hotel due to many road blocks

The owner was fantastic a very kind and supportive person, which made a huge difference after I got ripped off badly by a taxi driver upon my arrival. They offer pick up service which I wasn’t aware of before I came - use it! I also loved the interior design of this hotel, very warm and charming. I’d have loved to stay longer.
