It was in a very pretty location, clean and the showers were amazing! The team are wonderful and so helpful. I was there to trek with the gorillas in Bwindi and it was one of the best days of my life. I also fully recommend a visit to the local pigmy batwa community - magical place and magical people.

“A wonderful stay”

A wonderful stay! It's a very nice place to stay with everything you need. Simple, no luxury, but that's exactly what makes it perfect for the jungle setting. Since the twin rooms are small, our daughter got her own room free of charge. We received a very warm welcome, and all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Great views, comfortable beds, hot showers, delicious food, and a packed lunch! There were only very brief power outages, and a generator was available for these situations. Our concern that we might not have enough power to charge our devices was unfounded. Dan arranged the permits for the gorilla trekking for us, and everything went perfectly. When we got a flat tire, Dan even organized the repair while we were out trekking. The gate where the gorilla trekking starts is only a 5-minute walk away. The host accompanied us there and picked us up again, making sure everything was working smoothly. We debated for a long time whether we should afford the gorilla trekking despite the high cost, and we're so glad we did. It was an outstanding experience. We traveled as self-drivers, and when we couldn't find the road to Bohoma at the end, our host even sent a driver to show us the way. The road to Bohoma isn't the best, but it's easily manageable even in the rainy season with a Toyota Land Cruiser. In summary, everything was perfect, and we would book there again in a heartbeat. The value for money was excellent. If we had had more time, we would have loved to stay another night.

Nice Location next to the Gate for trecking. Food was yummy. Had no Power due to a problem in the whole region, but staff would help us to get our stuff charged.

The owner and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I had to change my dates and shorten my stay due to a flight change, and the manager helped me with that without any problems! Location is good!

“Very kind and friendly staff”

The hotel is located opposite the Bwindi forest, so every morning I could enjoy this beautiful view, it was priceless. Rooms are not very big, but very clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely helpful and very kind. We asked them to took us to the church is above the hotel and it was an unforgettable experience, seeing all the people dancing and spreading love vibes. The food is delicious, very tasty.

“Lovely team, great food, perfect location”

We loved our stay at bwindi forest lodge. The host and his team were so lovely and welcoming. The food was excellent and it’s only a few meters from the start of the gorilla tracking! A nice touch were the hot-water bottles they prepared for the beds in the evening. Everything was very clean and the host helped us wherever he could! We highly recommend supporting the smaller lodges in the area!

Bwindi Forest Lodge is conviniently located within 5 minutes walking distance to the UWA Infocenter from where you start your Gorilla Tracking. Paul and his team are very helpful in every aspect, the best service you can imagine. Paul went out of his way to get the latest infos for road conditions and which route is best to take for us as self drivers. Food was delicious and plentyful. The hot shower after a long track was such a relief. We highly recommend Bwindi Forest Lodge!
