“Great stay”

Very clean room, spacious kitchen and comfy beds. We stayed for one night and it was perfect.

This family-run guesthouse is great value and has lots of amenities - hot tubs, cottages, and a great breakfast. The family also owns Dalahestar, a riding stable with a herd of 45 Icelandic horses, and they offer a discount on rides to guests. Take them up on it if you're able!

Lovely staff, beautiful location good breakfast

Carolina was very welcoming and shared her experience of moving to Iceland with us and told us a lot about the village’s and Icelanders’ life. It was lovely chatting with her and we spent a very nice night in The Castle!

The Castle is a cute, individual place with super breakfast, clean rooms and a superfriendly hostess & family. We had a room with view over the fjord. Also, if you like to go riding they also have a stable nearby and provide horseback tours.

“Beautiful location and perfect hosts.”

The quaint little “dolls house“ accommodation was just perfect and had everything we needed including an amazing shower. The kitchen was well equipped with everything a guest would need to prepare/eat their own food and the breakfast was well supplied. The lady host was so pleasant, friendly and full of information about the local area. Don’t forget to take a swimming costume for the hot tub overlooking the bay. It’s perfect after a day of travelling.

We were delayed at the airport waiting for our car and contacted them and they were very helpful and kind and arranged for us to be able to let us into our little cosy cabin as we were going to arrive late. It made everything much less stressful - thank you! We also loved the homemade jam at breakfast

Excellent location! The rooms show great attention to detail, are exceptionally clean and include everything that you might need. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea. One of the best guesthouses we stayed at during our trip.

Very nice place lead by friendly and welcoming people. Stunning view at the sea, comfortable beds, clean room, nice common kitchen, books and leaflets with info about Iceland... Definitely a perfect place!

The rooms are comfortable, each equipped with a refrigerator. The shared bathroom is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is lovely. Right across from the hotel there’s a nice beach with a picnic table — a perfect spot to enjoy the view and, on the right nights, to watch the Northern Lights.

The owner is very friendly and hospitable. The kitchen facility is very well equipped. Breakfast is great. Conveniently located on the coastal line.

“Cozy Stay by the Shore with Lovely Breakfast”

The owner personally baked fresh bread for breakfast, which was a lovely touch, and the coffee was excellent. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen area, which is very convenient. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the northern lights, as the guesthouse is located right by the shore – perfect for a peaceful walk on the beach and birdwatching. Our room was a good size, with a kettle and complimentary coffee capsules provided. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
