Overview
The 4-star Hotel President is right next to the Hungarian National Bank and the Chamber of Commerce. It offers a rooftop terrace with panoramic views and a wellness centre. Free internet and Wi-Fi are standard in all rooms. Each room is also fitted with air conditioning, satellite TV and a minibar. A hairdryer and toiletries are provided in the bathrooms. Beware of this hotel's marketing gimmicks. The roof top bar - which is no.1 picture on booking - is closed as well as the hotel's wellness. They will inform you about this too late. Complaints are ignored.

The hotel has a great location near the Stephans cathedral and is only 15 minutes walking distance from the parlament. Breakfast was very good, personal friendly and the rooms clean.

“Pleasant short stay.”
On a very busy weekend in Budapest, I was lucky to get a room in this hotel as a last-minute cancellation. Everywhere was completely full, even hostels. The room is decent. I cannot say it was worth anything close to £160, but given the lack of other hotel availability, I jumped on it when I found it. Breakfast was decent. It was quite central. Staff were friendly.

The location is excellent, right in the hearth of the city centre, close to the airport express bus as well. The size of the the room (we booked deluxe double).
