For a short period stay it is liveable. It is close to a train station and the dorm rooms are decent.

“Okay For a Night or Two Maximum”
Unfortunately at the time I got my phone stolen closer to the city centre. The afternoon receptionist let me use the reception phone to try (very grateful for that), the next day the morning receptionist said the PM receptionist shouldn't have let me but realistically what else could he have done and does it really harm you for letting customers try (AM receptionist did let me use the phone in the end after a good moan). Location is very good, about 5-10 minutes away from city centre. You can see the difference between the 2 neighbourhoods but honestly it was safer here than it was in the city centre

One disadvantage is that there’s no lift, and the stairs steps are uncomfortable to use.

“Basic and good accomodation for short stays”
The location, near Gare du Midi and at the the same time at the Grand Place. The staff, kind and polite, easy check in and out. The room was basic but very well cleaned.
