breakfast was pathetic. It was basically nothing. Cereals, Croissant and some cakes.

The location of this Bed & Breakfast--Beacon Street in Brookline--was very nice: close to a good range of restaurants, from fine dining at La Voile, to inventive and tasty dishes at The Abbey, to good grub at a nearby Irish pub. And it's all right on the Green Line of the T into Boston. The historic neighborhood was architecturally interesting, and quiet at night.
