“Great location but needs TLC”

Great location but sadly that’s where it ends. As you enter the property hallway it smells particularly bad and suspect it’s from neighbours smoking. Once in the apartment the smells dissipates but again, that’s where the good news ends. The beds are very comfy but could do with new sheets; the sheets are like sandpaper and didn’t look clean, full of stains. Upon arrival we found the dishes dirty, with old oil dripping out of one of the pans. There was one tea towel in the property which was so dirty we had to wash it before using it. Shower has good water pressure and water very hot but we could have done with extra towels, as there wasn’t even a hand towel left. We found half a roll of toilet paper left. Spider webs in room corners were common and dust were visible on radiators and bedside tables…except for new bedding and towels, the flat could not have been cleaned prior to our arrival. Brive itself is small but quaint with a brilliant market on a Saturday. We stumbled upon a rose garden that was breathtaking and the distillery Denoix is a must visit for their incredible walnut liqueur. They are not really set up to have tourists as you can’t hire bikes without a french phone number. Getting to and from Brive airport also proved to be very difficult with taxi’s cancelling right before pick up time.

Very centrally located. Spacious, plenty of room for a family of 5. Communication with the owner was very easy. Easy check-in.

“Brilliant, clean, renovated apartment centre of Brive, but beware 3 flights of steps”

Loved the location, right in the historic centre of the stunning city of Brive La Gaillard, the apartment was fabulous, very comfortable for 4 with 2 French "Queen" sized beds in 2 comfortable bedrooms. Shower was good too. You stepped out of the apartment into the historic centre with cobbled streets, fabulous restaurants, cafes, patisseries and divine shops (all the top designer names). Brive is a truly beautiful city, even downtown was pristine, some gorgeous restaurants on the main roads that were packe3d out on a Tuesday evening, with a great atmosphere and many more in the historic centre - though we noticed many were closed evenings, although buzzing during the day. So unlike so many of the French cities, Brive is beautifully well kept, clean, virtually all the houses in the historic centre (that we saw anyway) are beautifully renovated, and the city gives off a very "wealthy" vibe, along with the French people, who all seemed comfortably off. The beds were really comfortable, very firm and everything in the apartment clearly new. You have everything you might need there. Everything is walking distance so you don't need a car unless you're sightseeing places like Martel, Rocamador etc (so worth a visit!). We would not hesitate to go back.

“Comfortable Stay IN town!”

Excellent location, literally in town. The apartment had everything we needed and good automated communication from host (clear check-in instructions, internet password, etc.). Lots of sleeping options (two full beds plus full pullout couch). Great stop for one night as we traveled down south for holiday. Brive is a very cute town and worth a little bit of time. We went on Sunday so almost everything was closed but looks like a lot of good shopping and restaurants!

Before arriving at the apartment, I received all the necessary instructions via Booking to access it. The apartment is very welcoming, perfect for 4 people, clean, and equipped with everything needed. It is well-located in the historical part of the city. The apartment owner is very helpful in clarifying any doubts, responding promptly, and being very friendly. The price-quality ratio is excellent. Perfect for a peaceful family vacation.

Great central location, easy to find and park and follow instructions to enter the property. We were there for just one night. Facilities were all great. The host messaged to check we had arrived safely and we had everything we needed. We ate out in Brive in the evening and explored the charming town in the morning. The shower was good, the apartment had a sofa and large TV, the beds were comfortable.
