The hotel is run by one of the nicest families we've ever met on our travels. The building is new, clean and really well-maintained. Paula, Brenda, Ramon and the staff are on top of everything and made us feel absolutely at home. We stayed on New-Years Eve and Brenda invited us and other guests to a full dinner as if part of the family. That said, if you want a more personal stay your hosts will not intrude. We were just a few minutes walk from the main strip with bars and restaurants and the beach is only 100 metres away.

The location was fabulous. 5 min walking distance to the beach. 10 min to the “highstreet” of La Punta. Shops of any kind in walking distance. The hosts are most likely the nicest people we have met in a long time. They’re running the hotel like a B&B and are available throughout the whole day. They support with any kind of request. Really any! The hotel is also very clean!

Perfect stay. Family-owned hotel. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We booked for 3 days and stayed for almost 2 weeks. Certainly not our last stay.

We stayed at Petra’s for 4 nights and could not recommended Petra’s more! It was an incredible experience, Paola was so friendly and accomodating from the second we arrived. The rooms are great with everything you need, the beds are comfortable and air conditioning is awesome - there is even doonas, which we have not found at anywhere else we have stayed in Mexico so we loved this! The rooms are also cleaned wonderfully everyday with towels, water and sheets replaced. Paola was so thoughtful and gave us many different foods to try such as water, coffee and fruit whenever we liked! She was always there if we needed anything and is so quick to respond by message, she even went to get Birthday candles from the store for us for our friends birthday. Paola also has great recommendations of where to go and what to eat during the stay. Petra’s is located in a great location only a short walk to the Main Street shops in La Punta and the beach, there are so many awesome food options around. We wish we had stayed here longer and will definitely be back if we are to ever to be in Puerto Escondido again. You will not regret staying at Petra’s it’s a fantastic experience that made our time in Puerto Escondido so amazing and you truely feel like you’re at home when staying!
