Overview
The Logis Chez Sophie Restaurant in Briouze offers an authentic and family atmosphere. Family because it is held for 3 generations by the same family. It was in 1949 that Sandrine and Maxime’s Grandmother settled in this small Norman town. Then, his son Didier and his daughter-in-law Annie took over in 1981 and since 2011, their two children, Sandrine and Maxime Excellent. Today holder of the status Master Restaurateur, it was only a formality. Indeed, the grandmother “Sophie” had a farm next to her hotel restaurant and the milk from the morning milking served at the restaurant… The DNA of this establishment is therefore naturally Home and/or Local Products!!! The restaurant rooms, kitchen and back of the shop were completely modernized in 2011. The hotel was completely renovated in January 2023. Close to Bagnoles-de-l'orne, on the Flers-Argentan axis, the establishment also welcomes groups for private or professional events. The conviviality of the Logis Hotel Restaurant Chez Sophie is exceptional thanks to its family atmosphere. Many regulars gather at Chez Sophie for a good meal with family, friends, colleagues, business… To complete your stay, the wifi network is free throughout the establishment and the restaurant is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Restaurant Chez Sophie At Sophie’s, it’s a traditional and tasty cuisine. Taste and authenticity are the hallmarks of the cuisine concocted by the boss and chef, Maxime. The cuisine of Maxime Excellent, labeled "Maître Restaurateur", sublimates the products of the rich Norman terroir. Know-how passed down from father to son, using only fresh products from regional producers. This tasty cuisine is tasted in the "bistro" atmosphere of the restaurant rooms and on the pleasant terrace, in fine weather. Ideally located near Bagnoles de l'Orne, Flers, La Ferté Macé, Argentan, Domfront, our restaurant in Normandy welcomes you for your business meals or during your evening stops and can assure you a fast service in case of need and always in joy and good mood! Please note: the restaurant is closed on weekends and you must call for all the information for a late arrival. We remain at your service every day 7/7 by phone for all information... the hotel is open 7/7.

“I great family run hotel in deepest rural France”
The welcome from the staff at Chez Sophie was really good. I was made to feel at home. The greeting over breakfast was just right. The service at dinner ( I stayed for 3nights) was super, the waitress amusing and informative. The food was delicious. I was initially on the second floor but changed to the firsr floor on my request. That was easier - there is no lift - and the shower was more accessible for my big frame. The view from the window was good, likewise the parking. This is a traditional rural French Logis with a welcoming and decicated family running the 9 bedroomed hotel i a pleasant part of Normandy. It is a good find for anyone who likes "la France Profonde" Bravo Chez Sophie!

“Too short we wished we could have stayed longer”
The location was great for our needs having come over from Portsmouth to Caen, there is plenty of parking in yhe square outside the hotel. The Hotel is run by a Brother and Sister who are fantastic at making you feel welcome and the food is great.

Staff were very friendly, especially the waitress at dinner, Beds were very comfy, shower was hot, room was quiet.
