Overview
Located on the Virginia Creek, guests can enjoy fishing and fish-cleaning facilities at this lodge. A restaurant is on site, offering breakfast and dinner. Guest rooms feature free Wi-Fi. An en suite bathroom is provided in all guest rooms. Creek-side cottages offer a kitchenette and some rooms boast a TV. If guests prefer a more natural experience, tents are available for rent. All tents are unheated at the Virginia Creek Settlement. Picnic tables, fire pits, and raised barbeque stands are available for guest use at the Settlement Virginia Creek. The famed John Wayne has also stayed in this rustic lodge. Bridgeport is less than 10 minutes’ drive from the property. Mono Lake is 20 minutes’ drive away and Bodie Ghost Town is 14 miles from the lodge.

This place is a little gem. Their cabins are super cool, comfortable, and warm (we were there late November). They give you a s’mores kit which was a lovely touch. We were a little sad we didn’t stay longer! Close to Bodie the ghost town too.

“A great original stay near Yosemite!”
What’s not to like? If you’re looking for a truly original place to stay near Yosemite, than look no further than Virginia Creek Settlement. The different cabins and wagons are amazing, all with their personal fire ring to enjoy some smores at night. The creek and different games set up on the property provide more than ample entertainment. Their pizza’s and Italian inspired food tastes amazing, so no need to venture out for dinner. Overall, this is an amazing stay that will give you great memories.

“Fantastic quirky location to spend a night.”
We booked a covered wagon which was really cool and comfy. It was a warm night but there were plenty of blankets if not. Electricpoint for charging and sitting outside with the fire pit listening to the creek was awesome. The whole site is small but cool, next to a road but still really quiet. We had a great dinner in the restaurant . There are fish to feed and outdoor games to play. Would definitely stay here again.

“Lovely place to stay”
The grounds are done really nicely and with great care. Facilities are very clean, the surroundings are beautiful and they provide a really cute care packet including everything to make smores, feed the fish and make coffee in the morning. Sadly we only stayed one night but I'm sure there's a lot more to explore.
