Meals under the half-board plan were lovely and good value. Breakfast was typical European baguette, sliced meat and cheese with yoghurt and fruit. Dinners were consistently good 4-course home-cooked meals. Staff were delightful. Clean, quiet, older hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, right beside the Olympe 1 gondola to Meribel Centre.

“Exceptional hospitality”

I loved everything about this property. From Thibualts warm, friendly and fun greeting and his warm hospitality. The hotel is brilliantly located, just a short 50 metre walk to the Olympic gondola and a 30 minute relaxing ride to beautiful Meribel. The breakfast was healthy, tasty and plentiful. Dinners were French traditional and delivered with great service by Clement. The hotel lounge was inviting with great beers on tap. Our room was warm and exceptionally clean. I cannot recommend this property more highly, great value for money, comfort and location. It’s is a traditional Alps French country hotel.

Great location. Brides les Bain is a quiet town so don’t stay if you are looking for night life. For access to the three valleys location could not be better. The team are very friendly and accommodating. We were half board which I recommend. Catered for vegan and vegetarian. Bar had good selection of local drinks.

The hotel boasts an amazing location, situated low in the mountain. While there's no snow at this level, it's not an issue. There's a spar nearby, a few restaurants, and it's pet-friendly. We brought our Yorkshire Terrier and were delighted to dine with our dog by our side. The included breakfast is a nice touch—nothing fancy, but good value for the price. The room was small, and the bathroom even smaller, but again, it's fair for the price. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the ski lift, which is convenient. However, the lift takes 30 minutes to reach Maribel, but you get what you pay for. There's also parking available and a room for skis.

The Hotel Des Alpes exceeded all expectations. It was fabulous. Off the main road, next to the gondola, straight up to Meribel. The staff were exceptional. The owner always there to great you with a smile and gave some great ski area recommendations. Clement, in the restaurant, was super friendly and a real asset to the hotel. The cleaning team were visible, every morning. This hotel clearly was a family run hotel, by people who care and who wanted to make it a home from home. Nothing was too much bother. We went half board ( Highly recommended!) Even our two teenagers were full up at the end of every meal and could eat no more. The bar area gave a nice community feel, where you could meet other guests, play games or just come together as a family after a day on a slopes. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. The property was exactly what we needed and very clean. The building is old but the comfort level is perfect for a ski lodge and everything was very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and very willing to help.

If you want an authentic, great-value stay with a warm atmosphere and the best access to the slopes, this is it.

Very nice hospitality and stuff

“Excellent place to stay for skiing in the 3 valleys”

The location for the Olympe gondola and the Intersport hire shop couldn’t have been better. The rustic hotel was comfortable and had free parking and a heated ski/boot room. The rooms had everything needed for a ski trip with a good supply of hot water for a bath/shower. Breakfast had a range of choices on a continental breakfast buffet table. Dinner was a set menu each night, with a variety of local dishes - you certainly shouldn’t go hungry after that! The lounge has a bar, large screen tv and plenty of seating. Mr Thibault and his staff were very friendly and looked after us well, including facilitating a late check out for the 5 of us. A great place to stay for a ski trip to the 3 Valleys.
