My stay with Karl was truly one of the highlights of my trip. I stayed for five days, and from the very beginning he made me feel welcome and cared for. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how thoughtful and helpful he was. Every day, Karl helped me plan hiking routes and suggested beautiful places to visit. Thanks to him, I got to see some amazing scenery that I might have missed otherwise. He was always willing to share his local knowledge and make sure I had a great experience. We also spent time chatting together, and those conversations were always enjoyable and interesting. Karl has a warm personality that makes it easy to feel at home. Another unforgettable highlight was the delicious homemade ice cream he made for me—it was honestly some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had! Thank you, Karl, for your kindness, generosity, and all the care you showed during my stay. You made my trip so much more special, and I will always remember the wonderful time I had. Perfect place.

We were warmly received by the host. The host is very lovely, kind and soooo nice! He also introduced hiking routes to us. The house has a small lift and is very clean. Its location is very convenient: there is a bus stop right on the street, within a 2-minute or 5-minute walk, and there are restaurants, cafeteria, shops and supermarket nearby that can be reached on foot. Thanks to the Brixen card provided by the host, public transport is very convenient. It takes only 10 minutes by bus from the house (or 17 minutes on foot) to reach Bressanone Railway Station, where you can transfer to buses heading to Secada / Seiser Alm and Val di Funes. The room is very comfortable, the living room is spacious and bright, and the balcony offers a view of the outside scenery—we are very satisfied with it. The bathroom is clean, the public areas are quite large, and the kitchen is fully equipped with utensils. Some bread and seasonings are also provided! We can make our own breakfast or cook noodles in the evening. The price is relatively high in the peak season, but it's well worth it! My friend and I both really love this accommodation!

I fell in love with this small town because of a hotel, and grew fond of the Dolomites mountain range because of this town. A special mention must go to the owner of the room, Carl—he generously hosted us throughout our three-day journey. When he noticed we had brought too few clothes for hiking, he took the initiative to lend us his coat and warm top. Even without visiting the mountains, just spending time in Carl’s room and interacting with him was such a comfortable experience. I hope to come back here soon.

The property was in a very convenient spot. The apartment was clean and had many utilities. The host is an amazing person and we had such valuable and funny conversations. The area is quiet and beautiful.

Perfect place, near supermarket, few steps to bus stop. The host is super nice. This is the place that my family and me would love to come back whenever we travel to Dolomites.

My friend and I had a very nice vacation here. First of all the room is very clean and cozy with a functional kitchen and a balcony with a beautiful view, and the bed is very comfortable for a good rest after a hike. The location is also very good, not far from the bus and train stations, there is a big supermarket and a laundry nearby, and crucially there is a river, so if you are a morning runner, you will be satisfied! All in all, recommended!

The location suits very well for us because it's close to the bus and train station (15 mins walk) and 30 mins walk to the acquarena and 20 mins walk to town centre. The walk is very scenic so it didn't seem that long. We were using public transport in our holiday and it's very handy because the bus stops are literally less than a minute walk. Going to town is like 5 mins if you use the bus. The facilities were met and the accommodation is very clean. I really like the shutters. Me and my 2 children find the bed very comfortable after a very long day. Brixen card is also included in the booking which is great. The Plose cable car, public transport and visit to acquarena was free. Parking was also free if you bring a car. Karl is a very excellent host. He really made our stay feel like home. He sat down with us to show us the beautiful places Südtirol has to offer and gave us directions. He also rang the acquarena for us because the indoor pool had undergone maintenance and made sure the outdoor pools are open, which we are so pleased about. We went to Geisler Alm, Lago Di Braies and Plose. We went to Acquarena (my children's favourite), Brixen city centre and had ice cream. He also played the accordion for my children. My children wants to see grandpa Karl again in our next visit.

“Impeccable”

The room was in good condition, with a balcony to sit and have a drink. Parking is basically sufficient, the hotel is very close to the supermarket, and you can cook simple meals in the hotel if you don't want to go to the restaurant. Most importantly, Hofer is a very enthusiastic and kind person. He will do his best to introduce useful local information and even invite you to his concerts. I think the location of Brixen is as convenient as Ortisei, and it is a very clean town. I drove to the Three Peaks and Funes (Adolf Munkel Weg) for hiking, and the driving distance was completely acceptable.

Lovely and cozy appartment

We were very satisfied with all aspects of the accommodation. Mr. Charlie was very nice. He introduced us the Dolomites guide carefully and played a welcome song for us. It was really great! I hope to come here again in winter.

Excellent room, great location, close to the city center, bus stop 10 meters from the hotel. The owner of the hotel is very attentive, welcoming, responsive. The room rate includes a Brixen Card, which gives you free travel on public transport not only in the city itself, but also between cities, and on the ski lift, while you save a lot of money. Now, as for the room itself: very clean, has everything you need, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bed linen is snow-white. A wonderful view of the mountains from the balcony. We were left with very pleasant impressions and next time we will come only to these apartments

It was a wonderful 2 days at the hotel, the owner greeted me very hospitably, helped me with routes in the mountains, suggested everything, the hotel is very clean with a beautiful view of the mountains, I recommend everyone to stay there!

I really liked the atmosphere, and the fact that it is easily accessible by all public transport. The location is super nice. And above all, Mr. Karl is a very very kind, accommodating host, he took the time to explain all the transport systems and how the Brixen card works and so on. I had the best time living at Residence Hofer!!♥️🎊 10/10

Great location near to a supermarket and a great restaurant. Only a 10 - 15-minute walk into the city. Excellent value for money. The room was a small-ish studio, with everything one needs for a short stay, clean and well-kept. Very friendly host.
