Overview
Overlooking the Sognefjord, this stylish hotel is in the village of Brekke, 5 minutes' drive from European Route E39. Built of Norwegian pine, it features a waterfront terrace. Brekkestranda Fjordhotel was designed by well-known architect, Bjørn Simonnæs. Features include 1100 windows of varying shape, and a grass roof. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and either a balcony or patio. Most offer magnificent fjord views. Brekkestranda’s restaurant serves homemade dishes based on traditional recipes. Light snacks and chilled beers can be enjoyed in the bar, which also has a flat-screen TV. Live music events are sometimes hosted here. Staff at Brekkestranda Fjordhotel can help arrange guided hiking tours to the Sogn Mountains as well as diving classes and fishing excursions.

“Overpriced, more like a campsite with cabins than a hotel”
Four-bed (2 room) accommodation. The master bedroom looked beautiful with a fire place. Large terrace to the garden. Hot boiled water after request in our thermos.

Location is incredible, having a room with a balcony made for gorgeous wake up view. Simple clean room and lovely food in the restaurant. Easily accessible and cheap charging of EV overnight.

“Hit & miss- nice views… very limited facilities.”
Located at the heart of the Brekke by the fiord. Views were amazing, and food was fresh and nice when available.

Location & the View: Amazing location, overlooking the fjords. Bedroom were fairly spacious, the balconies had a beautiful view. The overall property was scenic, you could just walk by the water. Staff: The staff were super helpful and friendly. Value for Money: Great value for money (for the price)

“Original stay on the Fjord”
Original blockhouse-style facility directly on the fjord, very quietly located and only a few kilometers from the highway, rooms have outdoor seating, which you share with your immediate neighbors, at breakfast, view of the fjord directly from the guesthouse, staff was very friendly, families have to book 2 rooms, which gets expensive, free parcing, electrocharging (slowly) for one car, we couldn't use it because someone else was already using it

“Character and rustic charm right beside the water”
This is a unique hotel, packed with character evident from the moment you see the turf roofs. A beautiful location right beside the fjord, set in a charming countryside location.

We really liked the style of this hotel, it's quite unique. It was different to anywhere else we stayed. We had a warm greeting from Janne who looked after us. A great evening meal and attentive service. Amazing location and really quiet.
