Situated in the coastal village of Breiddalsvík, Hotel Breiddalsvik offers a large terrace with an open fireplace and rooms with a satellite TV and work desk. The Icelandic Route 1 Highway passes right by the hotel. All guest rooms at Blafell Hotel have a private bathroom with shower. Some guest rooms also have a balcony. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. In summer, a variety of Icelandic dishes based on local produce can be sampled in Hotel Breiddalsvik’s restaurant. Packed lunches are also available. The hotel has a library with books in many languages as well as different board games. Relaxation options include a sauna. Children will enjoy the on-site playground. The fishing river of Breiddalsa is just 300 metres from the hotel. Numerous hiking trails are found in the surrounding area.

If you want to stop in a friendly, welcoming and a special place with vibe this is the place. Especially if you want to go to the highlands via route 95, this is a great spot to stop in. Dinner, breakfast relaxation are guaranteed to be good and special personal attention is the key treat. There is souna, hot tub and common space for tea/coffee and place to relax. For unique places in the area the hotel website provides the local owner favourites and this adds for the regular recommendations.

Peaceful, welcoming, and a good rest point on the route. Rooms were cosy and spotless. The hotel staff checked in with us the morning before we were due to arrive which was a nice touch and were willing to accommodate our expected late evening arrival. Unfortunately we ended up having a tyre puncture while on our way to the hotel so we weren't able to make dinner but the staff were great and make sure that we were able to get into our rooms easily after we arrived much later than we expected!

“Wonderful place and worth the price”
Excellent hotel where you have a jacuzzi, Sauna as well as a room/lounge with a microwave, kettle , a dishwasher and plates/cutlery to eat quickly I'm the evening. The receptionist had great tips and it is a great place to stay !

Breakfast average, room clean and nice, love having hot tub and sauna outside to relax after day of traveling. Town offers nice local brewery and old fashion grocery store with a coffee house.

Friendly staff. Everything exceptionally clean. Amazingly comfy bed. Very good breakfast with a wide variety of options to choose from. Loved the waffles at the breakfast buffet. Lounge area with free drinks was very nice. Loved the free sauna!
