Loved the combination of old spacious rooms and modern kitchen and bathrooms

“Peaceful seaside villa with sauna – perfect for a relaxing getaway”

We had a wonderful stay at this villa! Everything was perfectly clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The location is great – peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to explore the area. The bus stop and a small supermarket just around the corner are also a big plus. Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made us feel at home from the very first moment. We especially loved the sauna, with the possibility to cool off directly in the sea – absolute relaxation! And the adorable chickens and cats were the perfect bonus that made the atmosphere even more charming. We’ve stayed in many places before, but this is one of the few we truly want to come back to. We can only recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable holiday.

“Sad it was only 1 night!!”

Really friendly and welcoming owners with excellent communications prior to arrival.  Great location as we were staying overnight as a layover before catching the flight the next day.  I wish we had booked this for more than just a layover location as the grounds and facilities on offer were brilliant! Sadly, we did not get a chance to experience the following: spa, sauna, paddle board, kayaking, etc. Accommodation: we had the self contained apartment on the ground floor of the lovely old main building, with its own front door.  A message was sent to us to explain that they are gradually upgrading and renovating each room / apartment, this was one due for an upgrade.  This did not detract away from our positive stay. It was simple, warm, clean and tidy. Fully functioning kitchenette to have breakfast and make meals and gladly a dishwasher to wash up the dishes afterwards! Also no hassle and fast WiFi. Although, we didn't use any of the water based activities, we did have a walk in the grounds, which includes their own mini pebbled beach, jetty and pontoon. At low tide, we passed the time exploring and skimming stones.  We had the pleasure of playing with their two beautiful resident cats too! We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend!

“Comfortable apartment on a quaint bay”

Comfortable well appointed apartment, part of a delightful place right on a little bay with beautiful views. The owners Chris and Marie are very welcoming. Great area for walking and kayaking.

Phenomenal host

Location was amazing,. Hot spa and sauna on the fjord. Beds were comfortable host was lovely, prompt communication. Kayaks, boats, paddle boards available, didn't play in the water, though, it was a bit too chilly.

Amazing place with friendly owners. You feel like you’re visiting family in the countryside. You can walk, swim, eat dinner in garden, go to sauna or jaccuzi - and all of it at your backyard! A historical building and dog-friendly too. My family and I loved it!

A unique place about 20 min drive outside of Bergen. It's on an old dock and its still and active little harbour. We stayed in the guest house (not the main house) part of which is also used to hold events - there was no event while we were there. There is everything you need to cook for yourself in the kitchen (pots, plates, cutlery, a coffee maker etc...). The hosts were great and the quite location away from the tourist areas of Bergen was not only pretty, but unique.

Place with history.

Wonderful place! You can definitely tell that the place has been recently renovated, the apartment is nicely furnished, the kitchen is well equipped, the bedroom has a lovely little library with some old books about fishes. The apartment was clean, there was soap in the bathroom, salt, sugar and oil in the kitchen, Wi-Fi and heating were also working well. The location is very tranquil, the house finds itself on the coast of a lake in a lovely quiet neighborhood with a supermarket 2 mins by walk away. You can enjoy some time at the sauna and then hop in the chilly waters of the lake. There was also a nice outside barbecue place, a playground and accessible parking, guarded by a very gentle kitty! We had a wonderful time there and we’re looking forward to coming back again someday!

We are still speechless about our trip to Villa Brattholmen - it was such an amazing stay there!! It is such a beautiful old Villa that is beeing renovated with love for the Details directly at the sea. Chris was one of the nicest and most helpful hosts I have ever met. Totally recommend!!!!

“Amazing place, we wish we could have stayed longer”

The location is beautiful, right by the sea. There's a parking and access from Bergen is very easy. The host was wonderful. Very friendly and gave us great tips. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, making us felt at home from the beginning. We also used the sauna in the morning and could not ask for a better way to kick off our day. We wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately they were fully booked.

“Exceptional stay at Brattholmen”

Everything was perfect, the owner is a very nice person, he made our stay exceptional. The apartment was fully equipped with whatever we needed. We enjoyed fishing there, and the owner provided us with all the tools and tips. Highly recommended, you will not regret.

Everything was awesome, thanks Maria & Chris for the warm welcome and for having answered all our needs. The location is just perfect and the facilities (sauna, jacuzzi, SUP,,kayak, etc...) couldn't be better available.

Amazing location. Just outside Bergen, on the river/ fjord. The house was beautiful, lots of history. Had it's own jetty. We were able to borrow SUPs and kayaks to explore the little islands around. Then sit in the hot tub and watch the ships go past. I really hope to return. Hosts couldn't have been more welcoming. Lovely small , friendly shop 50m away

We loved the care and attention to details from Marie, the host, it was a real pleasure meeting her, she was very helpful with suggesting things to do,. We’re not experienced kayakers so that was certainly a highlight!!!. The location and the view was wonderful and after a hard day of hiking the sauna was just divine!
