The most beautiful, peaceful and delightful hotel I think we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were all lovely and the restaurant / dinner was unbeatable.

What a pleasure it was to stay here. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The food was delicious and the ambiance of the hotel’s public areas and our room was beautiful. Also, the staff were so welcoming to our dog, which is so important if, like us, you take your pet everywhere.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated. In general, the hotel itself was very authentic as it was an old mill building. The dinners and breakfasts were very delicious. We loved it! There are not many activities to do near the hotel. You can visit the nearby villages by car.

The sound of water, the sense of it and the beautiful setting by the river. It is of the best kind of Ryokan sensual experience in Japan. So comfortable. Caring team throughout. Personally over the years I have come to love the area and this hotel is so well positioned. The restaurant is an experience too.

The hotel and grounds were exquisite. Everything was finished to a very high standard. Our room was lovely, even if a little small. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very attractive. The hotel had free loaner e-bikes that we used to explore the surrounding area.

“Gorgeous Setting and Relaxing Stay”

Such an elegant hotel. Our room and terrace were lovely, extremely comfortable and well maintained. The staff were exceptional, especially Emiline who seemed to be the unlucky one who was always available to answer all of our assorted questions about the surrounding area. She is delightful. The restaurant, Roda, was outstanding. The food and service exceptional with an elegant setting.

Incredible setting lots and lots charming features set to the relaxing sound track of the river alongside. Lovely staff and superb breakfast. Unfortunately on this occasion we didn’t get to try the restaurant but I have every confidence that it would be worth coming back for.
