Very good place to the Braies Lake.

It was just a one night stay while driving through so we didn't do much at the hotel besides sleep. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was kind.

Near Lago di Braies we thought it would be in an ideal position but it was on the main (and only) road to the lake. The traffic was horrendous, cars, tourist buses, motorbikes, and with the room (with balcony = extra cost) overlooking the road and the car park, it made it almost impossible to sit out on the balcony or have your window (singular) open. The queues up to the lake were horrendous and when you actually got there the car parks were full, so we never got to see it (our main reason for booking into this hotel was that it was close to the lake). There was no aircon so the room or any way to regulate the room temperature which meant that the room was really stuffy. So it was window open and earplugs in or heat exhaustion. The constant traffic by day and construction lorries by night made for a very un-peaceful stay. The hotel itself was pleasant, typically Tyrolean and so was the food (unfortunately). On our 2 week stay in various parts of the Dolomites this was by far the worst food we were served at any hotel. The food was bland, uninspiring and the buffet salad starter was stripped bare if you were not there in the first 15 minutes of your allotted 7-8 pm service. To be fair we didn't try the spa facility so can't comment on that. The poorest hotel we stayed at and the most expensive. ☹️

It felt like a 4 stars hotel- the food was high quality, excellent dinner and breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The view was amazing, like in a postcard. Beautifully decorated hotel with good transportaion- the bus stop was right outside, with frequent bus taking us right to the famous lake (Lago Di Braies ) in just 10 minutes. The staff was very kind and helpful and the atmosphere was cozy and felt like home

We always knew it was going to be a lovely place to stay, but honestly we have been blown away. Each evening has been perfect. From the everyday warm greetings from Heidi and her staff, relaxing in the wellness centre to sooth our muscles after exploring the Dolomites, to the cosy vibes throughout the hotel restaurant, bar and even the reception area. Our stay has been nothing short of exceptional and we recommend Hotel Edel Weiss to anyone, a keen hiker, biker, skier or anyone passing through. Hotel Edel Weiss is a dream and we can’t wait to come back. Freya and Ed 😊

Alpine atmosphere at the accommodation, combining traditional features with modern style. A cozy and charming place to stay. Delicious breakfast, clean room. Nature is beautiful here.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff and excellent breakfast. Sadly we didn't have time to experience the spa. The rooms were spacious and included a generous couch.

Breakfasts and dinners were amazing, like in a good fine restaurant. I must say, the selection of honey, tea, coffee, jams, wine etc is fantastic. View from the room number and location is a great plus!
