“I cannot recommend this hotel or booking.com”
What did I like? Not much but the staff were pleasant on the evening when we arrived. My impression was coloured by issues we experienced with our booking via booking.com and the hotel’s handling of the matter. We arrived late (but we’d rung the hotel to let them know of our booking that evening and that we would not be arriving til ~11pm) On arrival, tired after a very long day of travelling, the hotel had no record of my booking via booking.com and so they advised me to cancel the booking and re-book directly through the Hotel. I did this but I should never have done it. This was NOT my problem - the issue was between the Hotel and booking.com. The Hotel advised they would help facilitate a refund but they claim they have seen nothing from booking.com since I stayed there. Today I sent them the email booking.com sent me saying that any refund was in the hands of the Hotel. So, It is being left with me to chase this up but, again, this was NEVER my problem and it has left me out of pocket with no one actually fixing the issue. There was no wifi at the hotel on the night of my stay - later on I reflected that this might have been why the hotel had no record of the booking via booking.com BUT, having said that, I had email evidence from booking.com of the actual booking which I showed to the hotel staff. I should have been allowed to stay and the Hotel should have sorted out the matter with booking.com the next day. Following the hotel’s advice was the wrong thing to do. Due to these issues I cannot recommend either booking.com or the Bowral Hotel.

“Cosy & central”
Great renovation to the guest rooms upstairs in this charming hotel. Beautifully done, super comfortable and quiet. It really felt like we were in an English pub. Cosy fireside dinner added to the experience. Located right in the heart of town close to shops and cafès.
