Overview
Set in 6 acres of manicured gardens, this 1857 country house offers a cottage with Victorian furniture. A 2-day breakfast hamper is provided on arrival. Guests at the property can enjoy badminton and croquet. At Devon Cottage guests can have a bath or shower in their private downstairs bathroom and then put on a provided bathrobe. For your entertainment, the cottage's upstairs bedroom includes a seating area with a flat-screen TV, DVD player and an iPod dock. There is a kitchen and lounge area with a wood fireplace for winter warmth during April-August. Firewood is supplied at an additional charge. Located in the centre of Burradoo in New South Wales, Devon Cottage is a 10-minute walk from Burradoo Train Station, a 3-minute drive to the many shops, restaurants and cafes in Bowral and the Bowral Oval and Golf Club. It is a 9-minute drive from Mitagong town centre.

The overall experience was ruined because I left my netfix account signed in on their smart TV and politely requested via text for the owner to log me out of my account as I have a family account and didn't want to change password. Not only was this request not fulfilled, all our profiles were deleted and renamed to the different cottages the owners manage. I have rectified the situation by changing passwords but our profiles cannot be recovered. This incident was unpleasant and made it clear that there is no integrity in the people managing this property so please be careful and make sure that you don't leave anything behind or forget to log out if you choose to stay here.

The cottage and the location was excellent, we loved exploring all the cupboards and side dressers with all the little Nic- Nacs. The bed was comfortable, and upstairs was roomy and cosy. The surrounding gardens were a pleasure to explore.

“Unique”
Like being in a cottage in the UK - even down to the rain! The property is private and feels safe and peaceful and has the best private garden I have seen in years. In warm weather it feels like a place you would want to walk in, find the right spot, and have a picnic or a quiet read of a book. The cottage is warm and olde world full of items from the past that educate or evoke memories of how things were done in the past. Unique.
