Overview
This family-owned mountain lodge is set in the Bøverdal Valley, 25 km from Jotunheimen National Park. It offers an in-house restaurant, private art gallery and individually decorated rooms. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. All rooms at Elveseter Hotell have a private bathroom with shower or bathtub. Guests can choose between rustic rooms or more brightly decorated rooms. The self-catered apartments include kitchenette and a private balcony. Local dishes with an international twist are served with a selection of imported wines at the rustic Valhall dining room. Drinks can be enjoyed in the hotel bar. The hotel has a large collection of art and artifacts from Norway, including the Sagasøyla Monument. All buildings at Hotell Elveseter have names from Norse mythology. Galdhøpiggen Mountain is 18 km away. Lom village is 24 km from the hotel.

The staff were great and it was a very nice building with interesting and fun decor. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed.

Great old architecture gave a feeling as you were amongst old vikings houses a great food location and view and great staff that were really helpfully and understanding to have late checkout due to unplanned longer hiking time and arrival

The hotel are in several buildings, some of which are historic (more than 150 years old). Therefore the rooms are smaller than you would expect, but they are very nice and clean.

It's in a amazing quite place, where you can really rest and be close to the mountains. Anywhere you go in the restaurant, it's like you find yourself in a museum, surrounded with antic treasure's.

Location was good, interesting building and collection of artifacts, but would recommend staying in Lom and only calling in for coffee to ensure good accomodation & food, while still having the opportunity to appreciate the building & history!

family hotel with the story, cosy public halls with fireplaces, antique paintings, rifles and furniture, very interesting story of the masterpiece column in the yard. Place with an ambience in the middle of mountains, really much to see except just your bed

Breakfast was great, no complaints. 3 course dinner wasn't a favourite. An a la carte menu would be better. However, they did cater for our dietary requirements when we asked.

“Historical wooden hotel in the mountains”
Excellent breakfast, both Norwegian and American. Very nice 3-course dinner in a nice dining room. Good views on the mountains. A lot atmosphere with a lot of quaint wall paintings. Two fire places with a good fire, even in August, were a definite bonus.
