“A gem in the middle of France”

It was like leaving in a small castle. Such thoughtful decoration and design. The place was very conveniently located, only 15 minutes from the autobahn, in the middle of the old town, and central parking was right next to it. Breakfast was delicious. We only stayed for one night, but definitely worth spending more time.

“An atmospheric place and friendly owners”

A lovely unusual place to stay, like entering a museum. We were a couple but had the 2 bedrooms plus a living room, which has a reasonable size fridge, which overlooked the square. The room had an Illy coffee machine which was very thoughtful. We decided to bring our own food, cold meats, french cheeses, pate, bread etc and sat in the garden in the evening with our aperol spritz that we also had with us. The garden has some nice elements and served its purpose with a table and chairs. The owners were very accommodating and provided ice and let us use their kitchen to wash up our plates. We had a good nights sleep in the large comfy bed. Breakfast next morning was nice with lovely old china, croissants, bread, jam, yoghurt and fresh fruit was provided, all very nice.

Rooms filled with antiques and hand painted walls, were clean, spacious and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and very well presented, Parking outside in the square was safe and away from the main roads.

As boutique hotels go, this must be one the very best, the rooms are superb, the location peaceful and the breakfast perfect. You would struggle to find nicer, more gracious and helpful hosts/owners, thank you Pascale and Nicolas.

The authentic house and furnishings. Well heated rooms. Lots of space. The beautiful view of the church. Lovely breakfast.

This has to be the find of the year. accommodation was top notch, fantastic 2 bedroom suite overlooking the square, excellent breakfast and amazing hosts. If you are going to central France for any reason you need to stay here!!!

My stay was really marvellous! The rooms are lovingly decorated in a unique way with antiques. The rooms are super clean and a delicious breakfast with croissants, jam, local sausage and cheese specialties and a delicious fruit salad, lovingly prepared, is waiting every morning. You feel like you are staying in a castle, for me it was a dream come true!

“A 'return to' place”

Boussac was -to us- a delightful find and Ancienne Perception even more so. An amazing historic property faithfully restored, much of the work by Nico and Pascale. With wonderful decoration -much by Pascale herself. And a magnificent array of furniture finds. On top of that they are charming, welcoming and wholly delightful hosts.
