“A feeling of home in The Loire”

Our stay at Manoir de la Salle was a great experience. The villa with all its quirkyness is full of character , interest and comfort. A true reflection of French hospitality . It is well situated for exploring the area but set in a quiet location. Olivier's passion to fullfil his dream reflects in his hospitality and i hope to see him on Chateau DIY , he would be the star of the show !

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place and felt very comfortable from the first day. Olivier, the owner, was very helpful and kind. First of all, the location is excellent. The area is very quiet, surrounded by nature and greenery, which made our stay very relaxing. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. We really liked the layout of the accommodation. The sleeping area and the separate sitting area were nicely divided, giving us enough space to relax. Everything was carefully decorated with great attention to detail. The breakfast was another highlight. Every morning we enjoyed fresh bread, croissants, different kinds of pastries, fresh fruit, a variety of cheeses, butter, jams, juices, and eggs prepared in different ways, such as omelettes, scrambled eggs, or boiled eggs. There was also something different to try every day, which we appreciated very much. The location is also perfect for visiting many beautiful places nearby, including castles, charming towns, and small villages. Everything is easily accessible. Overall, we had a fantastic time here and truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place and would be happy to come back again.

Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, and a great breakfast. Olga’s cooking is delicious and made with real care. Olivier took time to show us around the Manoir and share his knowledge of the region — those conversations were genuinely one of the best parts of our stay. Comfortable bed, lovely pets, and an all-round warm atmosphere.

Exceptional place, historical, yet comfortable and welcoming hosts that pour heart into every detail; veeeery-very convenient location to see all major castles, great advice what to do around also from Olga and Olivier. A lovely dog and cat living on the territory, beautiful gardens and desserts made by Olga that make you wish you had an extra stomach - super-tasty! Dinner and breakfast at the place are also absolutely advised!!!

Manoir is incredibly well preserved, decorated with great care and has all the comfort one needs for the holidays. The yard and breakfast served in the orangery with products from local producers are great, and the hosts are truly welcoming. I would certainly recommend this beautiful and authentic place.

The manor was lovely like something from a fairy tale with a great atmosphere and really liked how the manor was in 5 tiers and had original features.

“Loved our three night stay here”

The best thing about this place were Olga and Oliviere, accommodating, helpful and stress free. We had dinner there the first night - excellent. Breakfast was lovley either in the Orangiere or on the terrace. Everything about the chateau was perfect, we would stay there again.

It simply is a superb place, where you can immerse yourself into quintessence of France. We have spend there 12 nights and can't wait to visit again.

Stunning location, beautifully presented and very comfortable, totally private but close to some great chateaux and wineries. Both breakfast and dinner (to order) in the orangery were fantastic. Olivier and Olga are wonderful hosts who made us feel immediately at home and helped us to make our stay unforgettable. We are already looking forward to returning.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was excellent and set you up for the day. Very clean and comfortable rooms The setting was exceptional and the history of the cave and older residence were explained by Oliver on a tour of the property.

“Quirky and fabulous B&B in the heart of the Loire”

Olga and Olivier are the most welcoming and kind hosts! The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the Loire Chateaux and our bedroom was clean and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was totally delicious, as was our one dinner that Olga cooked for us. Breakfast is eaten with the other guests, in a small orangery and if you would like dinner it’s imperative to book far in advance as Olga and Olivier cook for you.

Olivier and Olga are superb hosts, making you feel as if you are at home. Olivier is full of local knowledge about area attractions and history of the property. Olga is a sensational cook. Her table d'hote dinners are not to be missed. The room we stayed in and the public spaces of the Manoir are filled with period furniture, which Olivier and Olga have collected over time. There is also a beautiful 3 bedroom 16th century house available for rent for larger groups. We would highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat!

“Excellent stay! We want to come back in spring / summer!”

We stayed in Le manoir de la salle du roc between the Christmas and New year. We had a fantastic time there and felt like part of the family. Olivier, Olga and Eunix are amazing! They make you feel at home and provide excellent support to your vacation. The dinners were also outstanding. With la table d'hote concept, we could experience delicious meals and meet with wonderful other people staying there at the same time. Truly recommended. Olga is a perfect cook. Overall, a very nice place to go without any hesitation! Location is also great. Reasonable distance to main attractions, wineries and chateaux.
