“Lovely peaceful place to stay while visiting Borobudur”

Beautiful property in a stunning setting looking out across the rice fields; a view back to Borobudur from the road and only a ~15 minute bike ride to the temple. Good breakfast, great coffee and nice to have access to a bike to explore the villages. Friendly and helpful staff.

The location

We loved our stay. The facilities, the environment and the staff were 10/10. Food was amazing. Very close to the temple. We rode the free push bikes provided. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

“A little Shangri-la”

Excellent location at the edge of a rice field, friendly staff, delicious food. We took the free bikes to the temple.

The food was excellent as well as the location and access to complementary bikes to use.

Very well located in the middle of rice fields near small villages. Have freely available bicycles to explore the region easily. Very nice restaurant. Nice staff. Overall, very enjoyable place.

Breakfast staff were amazing, and breakfast choices and items were very good. Rice-table dinner was different every evening and very tasty. The rooms were a little basic but pleasant enough. The complimentary use of bicycles is very convenient either for going to the Borobudur temple (±35 minutes drive in the sun - don't forget to use sunscreen!) or exploring the beautiful countryside around Rumah Dharma. We were deeply touched by the beautiful present they gave us when we left.

We were delightful to stay 3 nights at Rumah Dharma, a really lovely, soothing and relaxing place. The service and the hospitality of all the team are just amazing. Such sweet, warming and carring persons. The team is doing the best for you to have the nicer staying you can have. They were very helpful and carrying for your well-being in general, with the activity you want to do around and with any problem you may encounter. They arranged us a scooter, helped us to find a place to weigh ours luggages for our next departure, they rided me back to the shop where i forget my bag, let free bicycle at your disposition…. They were attentive about the food request. An exceptional guest service and professionalism. The resort is splendid, the decoration is tasteful, with a beautiful natural wood and stone. The landscape in the field sourrounding by the mountain is very nice . We spent 1 month in Indonesia (Sulawesi and a small part of Java) and their restaurant is the best cuisine we have been able to taste there, such a finesse and a great quality. I highly recommend this resort for the wonderful team, their restaurant and the place itself. Eva from Paris .

This was a lovely property and was great value. We had a large group of 16, and they were very accommodating with our children as well. The food was excellent and felt home cooked. Thank you for having us, the staff were really friendly as well.

“Peaceful stay amongst the rice fields - don’t hesitate to book!”

Loved the peaceful rural location in the middle of the rice fields. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. The small pool was perfect for cooling off and some areas surrounded by a small garden for lounging, both under cover and in the sun. Food at Rumah Dharma was fantastic. We stayed for four days and ate there for most meals. The Indonesian food was varied and delicious- but we had to ask for sambal as they assume foreigners don’t like spice. There are bicycles provided free for guests, nice to ride around the local area. It took about 15 minutes to cycle to Borobudur. There’s a beautiful museum in the local village that’s definitely worth checking out as well. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

We loved pretty much everything about the Rumah Dharma. Great service. Comfortable villa with all the essentials you need. Great fresh made breakfast and a great evening meal to end your day. For me, the location was everything. Sandwiched between two rice fields, sitting watching the birds, the farmers and the sunsets was stunning and will live with me forever! Enjoying the peace amidst the rice fields was priceless!

Diner was 3 courses with well cooked flavoursome food and a great setting. Breakfast consisted of fruit, regional smacks and an excellent hot choice from eggs, rice, noodles or soup. Free bikes were available for all guest and a good standard. The pool was lovely.
