The staff including the owner Bobby were very friendly. I could ask them anything and nothing was too much. Bobby asked every day how and where I wanted to have my breakfast. I felt very welcoming and it was a good first period of my stay in Indonesia. Also the accommodation is very small but very beautiful. With the most amazing view.

We travelled as a family for leisure. Awesome breakfast, can choose between options like pancake, omelette. Fresh fruits with aromatic coffee/tea. Big shout out to Bobby's few ladies staff! Rooms are comfy & quaint decor. Strong dependable wifi, all rooms come with functioning air-conditioning, bathrooms have heated water some with bathtub! Can laze in bed or in Bobby's pool, or Bobby will help to arrange city tour to Prambanan, Malioboro Street, plus any restaurant, batik shop, or attraction you'd like to explore in the immediate Magelang area or further. Dining was not an issue (we were worried that Janur Bungalow would be too remote) as any Grab or Gojek car will take you in no time to the many wonderful dining restaurants around Magelang area! With yummy food!! We did not have to order take in at all! Airport transfers can be arranged with Bobby in advance without much hassle, just give him your flight details prior to arrival! Our lovely drivers Wisnu & Ikshan, were on time and a joy to be with! P.S. If any of you would like to visit Bromo or Semarang, ask Wisnu for help - e.g for Mount Bromo treks :P

Bobby the owner is a beauty. He really goes above and beyond for you. He hasn't overwhelmed him self for extra money and focuses his attention on his select few guests. It's a great recipe. The property is gorgeous for being so small and it's perfect place to chill out

Beautiful environment. The owner put a lot of effort building this place. The pool was refreshing and very clean. The breakfast was fine (you can choose between eggs or omelette and they give you fruit, coffee or tea). The owner is super friendly and can help you organize your days around Borobudur. Only 10 mins away from the temple by car.

“Magical stay in the countryside near Borobadur”

Loved our stay here - so much better than a generic hotel! So tastefully decorated from the entrance door and koi fishpond through the beautifully designed grounds that looked like a little fairytale with the pool, fairy lights and traditional Java rooms to our beautiful room (white deluxe one with a lovely colourful sofa outside) with a comfy bed, barefoot chic bathroom, good a/c, fridge if you need it, easy wifi. The owner Bobby was great from start to finish, excellent comms and info upfront, extremely helpful with our Borobadur tickets, very welcoming and always available to help. Go on the village tour with him - it’s a fascinating window into the natural abundance of the countryside and the lives of the super friendly people who live there. My mini morning walk around the corner to see the sunrise between two volcanos and get a smile and a selamat pagi from all the villagers coming past was magical too. Loved it all. Thanks Bobby!

Janur is a place with attention to detail. We were there for three days and enjoyed very much our stay. The staff doesn't speak english but they find their way to communicate with you. The room is comfortable and the location convenient - near Borobudur, restaurants and activities using grab. Be aware that grab doesn't work always - from our experience, from 20h it's difficult to get one available driver so the best is to get a contact of a private driver (you can do that with your first grab driver - they normally all work independently). Bobby is very responsive and kind!

Super host, Bobby was always available and reachable to make our stay perfect (scooter, visits, driver from a city tour, etc.). The entire team was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Great breakfast, swimming pool and panorama from the garden.

Janur bungalow is a small (5 bungalows) and charming hotel on a hill overseeing the ricefields. Good location to explore Borobudur. Friendly and helpful owner Bobby sees to your needs (dinner and driver). Tastefully designed rooms and central area. Good breakfast.
