Overview
Set on the Bormio ski slopes, Hotel Vallechiara offers a sauna, a terrace, and Alpine-style rooms. Overlooking the town, 4 km away, it includes a football pitch and tennis plus basketball courts. Each room comes with a TV and overlooks the town or ski slopes. Some have a balcony or terrace. Your day at Vallechiara starts with a large and varied buffet breakfast. You can enjoy traditional homemade dishes at the restaurant. Part of the Alta Valtellina ski area, Hotel Vallechiara is around 50 metres from the nearest ski lift to the Bormio ski area. The hotel also offers a ski and snowboard school, and winter sports equipment is available to rent.

“A wonderful ski holiday with our kids”
The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed and great views The location was great, a little tricky to get to on narrow mountain roads but once we were there it was really convenient to ski from. We used the restaurant (delicious) and the hot tub (at sunset - magic!). We really appreciated the ski school in reception too, really helped us make the most of our time. And the fireworks on NYE were the best. Molto grazie!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Bormio. The location was very convenient, it is 10’ driving from the village. There is a lift only a few meters away that takes you directly to Bormio 2000, which was perfect for skiing. The apartment was beautiful, modern, comfortable, and felt brand new. Daily housekeeping was excellent and the cleanliness throughout our stay was impeccable. The staff were absolutely wonderful – kind, helpful, and always welcoming. A special mention to the Christmas dinner, which was outstanding and truly memorable. As a small suggestion for improvement, it would be nice if the rooms could be set a bit warmer. Slippers in the room would also be a welcome addition. Lastly, the breakfast could be enhanced with more savory options and some vegetables. Pasta flora was excellent ! 😊 Overall, a great stay and we would happily return!

Beautiful view. Breakfasts are Italian style so you will not eat much. Every day the same. Not enjoyed. Overhyped place. Better not clean every day rooms and have international breakfasts. They are blocking your number after the stay so you can’t write anything further. Weird :)

“Great place”
Great place, a little ride from actual Bormio up the mountain - but not very long and provides for an excellent view over the city and surrounding mountains. Good room, nicely looking, comfy and clean. Good breakfast.

Great mountain hotel near Bormio. We stayed during the summer and I think it is the best location for visiting Bormio. A bit outside of the town but in mountains with amazing view.

A very nice hotel with a spectacular view! The staff was really friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a real charming atmosphere. We had a family-room which had a nice layout over two levels and newly refurbished bathroom.

We loved everything here. Clean, comfy, good breakfast and nice staff. Very beautiful and cozy place to stay while in Bormio :)
