It is like a road motel. Situated by the main road it has all the facilities needed for a short or even a longer stay. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Check-in instructions were clear and all worked at once. Great value.

The location was good for access to the King's Road footpath and a visit to the Stave church.

The location, it's in the middle of nowhere, be mindful there aren't many basic amenities nearby but that's the USP of this place in my opinion, it's connected to nature, something you would look forward to in Norway. The shared spaces and bedrooms are nice and tidy, extended parking space is a plus too.

“Good price performance”

We were lucky to be almost the only ones in the hotel. The reception was closed on the day we arrived, but self check in was very easy if you follow the instructions. The kitchen was well equipped. After reading other reviews I knew exactly what to expect and was not disappointed. Yes, the beds could have been more comfortable or longer (beds are not suited for very tall people of 2 m height), yes, the accommodation might be in need for some refreshing, but the price performance is great if you are in need for one night layover with family. There was a bit of a trouble with self checkout, but the property was easily reachable with a call to sort the issue out.

Extremely clean and quiet. I Expected to hear noise from the highway, but the river out back was very peaceful. Hostel is well equipped. Automated check in process was strange, but easy to do. Be sure to check out the historic Kongevegen and stave church if you stop here!

We were the only ones in the hotel. A bit old but clean, with everything we needed. It was fun to be alone (even the staff was not always present). Coded doors so we could enter and leave at any time. A great stop on our route to rest from Oslo to the fjords.
