Beautiful location, lovely hostess. Basic but sufficient accommodation if you are looking to explore the nearby cinque Terre and need a place to sleep in the night. Scant breakfast in conference style dining room.

La Casa Rosa was an amazing find, like a hidden gem in the Cinque Terre area of Italy! Mariapaola was a lovely host. She welcomed us like we were her family! The accommodation was very clean and the views from our room were spectacular! We enjoyed the pool and my kids loved the table tennis! The place is only 30mins drive to Levanto station where you can catch the train to the Cinque terre stations. Wish we have stayed here longer...

La Casa Rosa is situated within nature. However, it is a rather tricky drive to reach, more so if one is not a confident driver. The swimming pool and garden are great, however their use appear to be limited. Signs in the house tell that these do not come with the payment of the accommodation. You better check, though we had no problems. Mariapaola is approachable and helpful when available (at breakfast time, or dinner/s if you have booked these).

A very cozy place away from the bustle of the city. There is nature and beautiful views all around. Very kind hostess Maria and Andrea. Excellent dinners, I recommend to everyone, a lot of food and very tasty. This place is perfect for families with children.

“Stay as long as you can!”
La Casa Rosa was a huge positive surprise for us. If only had we known how nice this place was beforehand, we would've booked for more nights. First of all, the house is in a very calm hill, surrounded by nature. The hills' view from the windows gave us the nicest wake ups. Maria Paola is very sweet and full of resources and tips. If she recommends you a place to eat or where to go, trust her! Otherwise, just stay in for dinner, Andrea's food will be on top of your list of best Italian food ever had (although I'd advise not to eat beforehand, as you'll get lots of food). The swimming pool was a nice place to relax on warm days. Here you can lay on a sunbed (or under a parasole) and read a nice book with the relaxing sound of crickets in the background, or play pingpong if you'd like to be more active. The house is very close to the Cinque Terre, nice for a day trip(s) (19 kms from Levanto, where you can take the train or ferry to the Cinque Terre). Extra tip: go to Brugnano in the evening. It's a pittoresque old village, you'll fall in love with it in its small streets. Extra extra tip, for meat lovers: have dinner at the "Bisteccheria" in Brugnano, you'll not regret it. Dorus & Rosita

Maria was amazing. She welcomed us warmly, even though we don’t speak Italian and she didn’t speak English, that wasn’t an issue. La Casa Rosa is such a charming house. We loved the location, because it is out of the crowd in peaceful atmosphere but still 20 minutes drive from Levanto. We felt like visiting a friend there.

Maria Paola was a perfect host, always available, she has all informations about the area, very nice breakfast, fantastic view, calm and isolated in the middle of green, parking no problem. We'll love to come back. And a swimming pool!

“A quiet stay in the pretty countryside of Liguria”
We chose this place because we were visiting Cinque Terre (25 drive away) and could find nothing closer. As we drove up a very windy narrow road in the countryside, squeezing tightly by the rare car, we wondered if we had had made a mistake choosing this. However we were very glad we did. After the overwhelming crowds of Cinque Terre, we were grateful to return to this peaceful spot in the Ligurian countryside. It was especially ideal during Covid. We got takeout pizza and pasta from nearby restaurant (10 minute drive back down into town), and enjoyed a peaceful meal on our balcony overlooking the shimmering little village of L'ago in the distance on the hill. (I'm sure the multi-course meal provided at the hotel would have been good, but we wanted to avoid others for safety.) We do not speak Italian and hostess does not speak English, but she speaks French as well fortunately, and we would have figured it out with the Italian and gestures anyway. Breakfast included was fine. Attractive old furniture in the room, and great view of hills.
