The house is fantastic and ideally located for exploring the west of Iceland. It is beautiful, clean and tidy, and can accommodate a group of up to eight people. Towels, sheets and soap are provided in excellent condition and in abundance. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, although perhaps a larger pot would have been useful for a group of Italians. The comfortable rooms allow you to divide up according to your needs. If necessary, a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and cleaning supplies are available. The owners are very kind and always available to help. The outdoor hot tub is a really nice addition. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Lundur is a piece of heaven on Earth. The house is fully furnished and accommodated our group of 10 perfectly. The hot bathtub on the patio has our hearts. Thank you for having us!

Great location, 15 minutes away from Borganes . The house is perfect, it has everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen allows you to cook with ease, with the addition of the outside covered barbecue for cooking steaks/ lamb etc without setting off any fire alarms. All the essentials salt, pepper, spices, coffee, kitchen roll , sugar, etc etc were provided, with toilet roll, conditioner, shampoo, hand wash , body wash, etc which was a lovely surprise! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the whole house is decorated to a high standard. The hot tub is a jet spa which we used daily after a long day out. It’s perfect. Having a cabin with bedroom and separate shower /wc means it’s also perfect for larger groups, as we were a party of 2 we had plenty of room. The house has great facilities for washing/ drying and has a large TV if you feel compelled on stormy nights to watch a bit of television. The icing on the cake is the location for northern lights, having a great 360 view without interruption means you’ve got the best chances. Out of 12 nights we luckily managed to see 10 nights/ mornings despite some very challenging weather in November. We didn’t need to drive out, we just happily sat wrapped up under the covered deck and waited for Aurora to appear. There is a main deck which has a sheltered covered area which is perfect, then a lower deck for the cabin, a base deck in the garden and to the side a grass garden area. Very nice garden furniture and a picnic table for warmer days! The road to the house is a little pitted in winter but nothing crazy just drive carefully. We tend to have 4X4 or AWD car in November as the roads to tend to wear in winter. The location is perfect for driving up the west coast and north. The host was lovely and very accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay at Lundur again and the other properties on the portfolio.

Location was fine for us as we were studying birds on S side of Snæfellsness and in Myar. We never got time to use the hot tub! We did wonder why it is constant at 40c, especially as the lid is damaged and insulation probably full of water so cannot insulate much - maybe it is natural hot water?
