“A hidden gem in the mountains”

Absolutely everything! We have never had such a perfect stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the showers are lovely and super hot. The facilities on site are also great, lovely communal areas and stunning views to enjoy your breakfast / dinner. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, Lorraine and her husband are chefs so we had all our breakfasts and dinner here on almost every night. When we hiked the volcano, they even packed us food to take with us. Lorraine and the team go above and beyond to help everyone and she made us feel so at home, helping us with taxis, laundry, going into town, nothing was too much trouble for her. She thought of every detail and made us feel like part of her family. We were so sad to leave! Nothing can beat this place!! We were a bit worried about not having a car but it was no trouble at all, taxis are very easy and Lorraine helped us with all of this. We loved being a bit out of town as the views are sensational. The coffee tour was also 10/10, Lorraine’s mother is a fantastic character and we had an experience we will never forget.

Marilin and Lorraine are both lovley hosts and so helpful with everything. We had great stay und loved it there. The food was so delicous. We recommend everyone to stay a few days and enjoy the nature, the silence, the coffee and the food.

“Home away from home”

We had a truly wonderful stay. We were absolutely charmed by the incredibly friendly Lorraine who was always in a good mood and happy to help us with anything we needed. Her warm personality really made us feel at home. The food prepared by her husband was simply outstanding, we had dinner ever night instead of going to diner in Boquete. Every meal was unbelievably delicious and clearly made with great care and passion. The atmosphere of the accommodation is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax. The adorable cats were a lovely bonus and added even more charm to our stay. It’s also a great base for exploring the surrounding area. We would gladly come back!

“A slice of heaven in Boquete’s mountains”

Incredible setting, amazing cabins (with comfy beds) and the nicest team — especially Lorraine, who is an extraordinary host and Pol, cooking up outstanding dinners. Also, the coffee tour is a unique, must-do experience. Lorraine even gave us some English breakfast as a gift! So kind.

The most incredibly friendly family (Lorraine went above and beyond to make the stay perfect) and the best food we had in Central America. We have been truly inspired by the sustainability of the property and will have a place in our hearts forever. Coffee experience was so cool and the place was so peaceful out of town a little bit.

A beautiful situation outside Boquete. From the hotel you have a view of the volcano across the valley. Lorraine and her husband are excellent hosts and serve up delicious food. And don't miss the coffee tour offered by Marilyn, Lorraine's mum. Fascinating. Highly recommended

It's a magical and wonderful place to stay. Outside of the busy town of Boquete. The bungalows are simple but they have everything you need : a good bed, hot water and a fantastic view to the Vulcan. They do everything to make you feel at home. Have I mentioned the dinner? There is no need to go to Boquete for an evening meal, just stay there... We have had 3 evening meals and they were an absolute delight. We also did the coffee tour which I definitely recommend doing. Lots and lots of insight on not only coffee but also on Indian culture, sometimes a forgotten part of Panama. Don't hesitate, just go ! You won't regret it. This is what travelling is all about ❤️

“A delight, away from the touristy town of Boquete!”

It was amazing, everything was so kindly and thoughtfully organized that we could only have a good time. Lorraine is so cooperative, she even gave us rides to our activities and a bunch of recommendations for our further trip. Not to mention the high class meals they are serving at night. That was by far the best panamanian food we had on our trip of 3 weeks. We highly recommend it! Thanks again for everything !

“A memorable experience”

We loved our stay there. Lorraine and her mum made us feel very welcome. And Paul cooked the most delicious food every day. My husband loved the coffee tour very much, do not miss it. We felt very lucky to spend New Year's Eve with them and with another French couple. It was the most memorable experience.

“Eco Horqueta is the place to stay if you visit Boquete.”

The small batch production of organic coffee is truly inspiring, and Lorraine and Paul’s delicious and thoughtfully prepared menus were a delight. These family run eco lodges are exactly what travellers should be supporting.

“Lovely homestay in the nature”

Great hosts, very attentive and friendly. Feels like a homestay. The location is remote, and allows you to really enjoy the nature. The trails are nearby, approximately 20 minutes by car. Talking about a car: you really ought to have one to move about.

The place is amazing, the location, the landscape. The hosts are amazing, wonderful always helpful. It is mandatory for you to experience the dinner over there! The food is really fantastic, presented in such a 5 stars way, cooked by the Spanish chef owner. We had such a fantastic experience in this place! Will advise everyone to stay there!

“The best stay we had in our entire trip in Panama!”

The location was faboulous, quiet and very beautiful area. The breakfast and dinner were more then excellent. The host was very helpful, explained eveything very well and we received a very warm welcome. We will definitely go back there.

Great communication with the owner, perfect location for a break and chill! House: Individual, space, clean and no noise from other guests. Great view towards volcano. Bed is comfortable and super large! Food: Great breakfast and amazing dinner!! Outstandingly good food, great portion and quality!👌🏻 Host: Super friendly, always at help, great tips for exploring around (hiking and restaurants)! Cafe tour: Do it!! We did the 3h - it was amazing to learn and be part!! You shouldn't miss it! You can get there by taxi, we recommend a car to be flexible - as mentioned in description. Summary: A must place to stay!! All the best for the two great hosts!!

Everything, just plain excellent. We planned to come back

Our host Marilin was fantastic. Her hosting and cooking were amazing. We liked the fact that there was no wi-fi and limited power (just during dinner).

“Wonderful experience!!”

If you are in Boquete, go there. Eco Horqueta is a very nice small farm which is owned by three ladies. They do everything to make you feel comfortable. They also produce very good organic coffee and other fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately when we visited Eco Horqueta Lorraine and Maria Jesus weren’t there, but Marylin did everything she could to give us everything we needed and to make us feel truly at home - and she did very well. She even cooked delicious local meals for us in the evening. We also did the coffee experience (which we highly recommend) and Marylin took a lot of time for us. She also picked us up in the town and dropped us again after our stay. Bonus: There are three super cute dogs (and a couple of cats)
