“Wonderful stay in the Columbian jungle”

Wonderful stay in the jungle. We did a two hour hike up to the property which was really nice, but you can take the moto taxis. The place itself was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. It's in a nature reserve which you can walk around and visit.

“A garden of Eden for restoring the soul and the environment”

Beautiful surroundings..peaceful but noisy with the sounds of river and birds. A place to relax into. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. Good walks with helpful guide, who helped me as a 67 year old reasonably fit but not completely across river crossings and up and down steep bits to hlget to glorious waterfall for a swim. Great tour of grounds with owner...a testimony to how damaged land can be reclaimed. Massage was good too..

“Incredible nature”

The nature reserve is stunning, one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in all of South America. Some of the installations were in need of some dedicated maintenance but otherwise we would love to return many times.

“Get your rest in the middle of the jungle.”

Location was stunning. On arrival we immediately decided to extend our stay. Loved the serenity, you won't hear any noise of cars or motorbikes. The only thing you hear is the river and the birds. It's totally different from all the commercial places around. The food was healthy en very tasty. They served there own fish. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The accomodations are distant from eachother, which makes it feel like you're having your own private spot in the forest.

11 out of 10! Example of how human and nature can exist peacefully together! Also attention to small details! Simple, but thought out! Mototaxi to Caoba is like separate attraction!

“gorgeous property”

love that you see so much wildlife AT the property! beautiful art in rooms. lovely staff- I got some wood varnish stains on my shorts as a result of some work they were doing and they did everything possible to remove the stains (and succeeded!)

Such a beautiful corner of the Sierra Nevada. Beautiful forest, with a river running through it. The family that owns it has made this space their life's work, and it shows. Highly recommended!

“Beautifull”

Beautiful place with lovely staff. We loved to spend a few days to find calmness and rest in the Jungle. But there is also lots to see and some great activities to do. Staff was very friendly and helpfull

Peaceful, chilled place, a great place to relax and recharge. The staff were wonderful too. A lot of plants and animals to see, plus places to swim in the river. Food was great and varied, yum!

This is a little gem in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta! I love their concept: a place where you can rest and peacefully enjoy nature to sooth your senses, in a sustainable and responsible way. I really appreciate the owners commitment with sustainability, their love for nature, culture and their intention to share their property and their knowledge about the Tayrona culture and biodiversity of la Sierra Nevada. The decision to book a massage with Zara was the cherry on the top and what allowed me to fully rest, body and mind.

Caoba is an amazing place, the staff was super friendly, the grounds are breathtaking (reservoir with different ponds with endangered amazon fish, rare plants etc.). we did hikes (walks) the waterfalls, visited the cacao farm, did yoga and had a massage. everything was great! for the birthday of my partner i ordered a cake that was super delicious! the food overall was great! in short: - great location to unwind, beautiful surrounding, you can feel this place was created with love - staff does its upmost to make you comfortable and organised a hike for us to minca with transportation of our luggage - loved the good and sustainability approach - cute dogs (we didn’t find them boisterous but actually super cute, but they also leave uou alone if you don’t continously scratch them)

“Amazing experience, would love to visit again!”

Brilliant place. It is quite literally a reserve, with a wide set of plants and animals. Very friendly staff, good food and great tips on what to do. I especially liked the river on the property’s ground for a fresh dip! The room (we stayed in the treehouse) was basic but had everything one would expect from such an accommodation. Showers are cold, but this is to be expected and is frankly pleasant in the warm, humid jungle. Final point - surprisingly there were not many mosquitoes (but still, don’t forget your bug spray).

“A beautiful place with people full of good energy”

The place is just amazing, made with a lot of love. Everything is nice once you arrive at the place. You have an amazing food made with love and care, nice bedroom, nice people. I really recommend you go and stay a couple of night to enjoy everything. Just be aware and hire people to go up there. Don’t risk going with normal cars up, cus u have a lot of rocks on the way. If you have a car, you can park it in a place in Bonda and hire a 4x4 or motos to pic u up. We did with motos, bringing just a few things with us and that was a nice experience. Again, more than recommended

A paradise place, not many mosquitos for being in the jungle. Healthy and tasty food. Don't miss the medicinal plant tour! Is a gem giving you lots of info about the place!

“Expect to chill next to beautiful river with tree house and a little zoo”

Beautifully spot in Colombian wildlife with only few tourists. Good alternative to Minca Valley. Paso del Mango is a lovely valley fare away from large-scale tourism. Staff is tremendously helpful. Thank you Gigi!!! 🙂
