The owners of this guesthouse go above and beyond for their guests. My friend and I knew the things we wanted to see and do in surrounding regions (Ak Say Canyon, Fairytale Canyon and Barskoon waterfall), so the husband drove the two of us around all day for a very reasonable and competitive price in comparison to other offers we were made. The home cooked breakfast is great, the rooms comfortable and cosy, and we have zero complaints about the facilities. As two very indecisive young girls who struggled to get a plan together, the owners at Meerim guesthouse made our stay in Bokonbayevo so memorable, and we are very grateful for all that they did to make our experience seamless.

“Comfortable, clean and friendly stay”

We stayed at Meerim guest house for two nights and it was great. It's a shortish 15 minute walk from the main road where the buses drop you off, but very close to the highway if you go the other way out of the property and are looking to hitchhike. The owner was a nice lady with her daughters who all live at the property and were all friendly when we interacted with them. We booked the triple room even though we were just two people to have more space after having small rooms while traveling and it was very spacious. The beds were comfortable and everything in the room and at the property were very clean. It's a shared bathroom but we never found it crowded and it was also spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good each morning and fairly basic but filling and satisfying. We sat around for an hour or two and chatted with the other couple staying at the property. Breakfast was eggs, coffee, apricot jam, three different types of bread (two were fried), some fruit, some tomatoes and some sweets on the table. Another positive to note is the surprisingly very good wifi. It never dropped on us once and was fast for using our phones. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here and would recommend it for a few nights. It was very comfortable. One thing to note is that on booking it said payment in cash in USD, so we brought that from home, but the property seemed to prefer SOM, so bring that instead.

The hostess is simplyy amazing. Very kind woman and a truly hospitable host. She was very attentive and sets up a great spread for breakfast. Definitely will be recommending this place to anyone travelling through Bokonbayevo.

Very lovely place ! Very clean and the family here was so nice with me ! They can organize everything for you ! The last day I had to wake up early and the mother still wake up for me and made breakfast! It’s was a delicious breakfast everyday !!!! They have also a very cute garden with animals! I recommanded the place 100 %!!! You should definitely book here when you are in town !

Stayed for one night, family very nice spoke some English. Room was large and clean. Shared bathroom not private bathroom, but was clean and had hot water. Arranged own taxi to take me to the Skazka as was cheaper, 2500 som, 2 hours waiting time and a stop by lake to take pictuers. Breakfast was made for me, egg omlette, bread Coffee, and other items

Lovely homestay, very nice rooms and offered a great breakfast. Excellent host, I left my rings in the room and the host offered to send them to me in Karakol by taxi, which was very kind! Thank you!

Meerim was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. She made us feel at home and the breakfast was lovely!

Room was comfortable and there was a good breakfast offered. We really liked the yoghurt drink we were given as part of breakfast. Really appreciated being able to use the washing machine for a small fee. Friendly and helpful owner.

We really enjoyed our stay at Guest House Meerim. Cozy place to sleep, handy parking if you’ve got a car, and a tasty breakfast in the morning. Meerim also gave us great food recommendations, which made our stay even better, would recommend!!

Very welcoming and helpful family. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious. Great to have a washing machine after dusty hikes and horseback rides.

The house is very sweet and the lady is amazing, she made all she could to help us to find a taxi for the Canyon, find a place to eat etc.

Nice quiet location. Lots of chickens and farm animals. Some confusion over whether a guest kitchen was available or not. I was allowed to use it after first being told there wasn't a kitchen. Nice breakfast in the morning!
