We felt at home staying at Altyn Oimok. The place is comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is one of the best we had during our trip.

“Better to move on”

I made the mistake of staying in Bokonbaye — a dusty, one-street town with nothing of interest for travellers (except perhaps the friendliest locals I have experienced on my travels so far). I would recommend continuing a few more kilometres to Tong, which offers better value accommodation and activities (swimming, walking, eagle hunting). Try GH Ailun, which I annoyingly discovered too late.

They served a really good breakfast. The room was quite small, but it was new and everything was very clean.

Great atmosphere in a hotel, comfortable bed, decent breakfast. Great staff, cozy common areas. Everyone is helping and you can ask staff for whatever you want. Also there is a craft shop and classes in the hotel.

We really liked the family feeling this place gave us. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. We are vegan and our needs were 100% met in terms of the breakfast. I do recommend this accommodation if you need a stop in between travelling.

A beautiful family guesthouse. The nicest rooms I’ve stayed in in central asia (didn’t realise the room would be a private bedroom!) and the family who runs the place is so kind and welcoming. Felt making on site too!

Beautifully decorated Guest House with a calming ambiance throughout. Rooms are a good size, with access to a number of bathrooms. The breakfast was stunning - a brilliant selection of different foods and the room itself felt quite therapeutic. Great location too.

There are multiple toilets and showers, all spotless clean. Water pressure in the shower is great. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable. Enjoyed our stay
