“Was ok but disappointing”

Location was great

Hotel Kristal was very alpine, quirky and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and catered for every taste. The almond croissants were to die for. Very good value.

The room was clean and spacious, great food and friendly staff. Short walk to the lake. We will certainly visit again.

Well situated on the edge of Lake Bohinj. Easy to find, with ample parking. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The attached restaurant serves good quality food, the fixed menu is excellent value. There is a great range of local wines. Breakfast is a great range of products local cheeses, salamis, yogurts, fruit etc and includes DIY waffles - pour in the batter, turn the iron & wait - which was a first.

“Lovely location and very clean room.”

Breakfast was very ordinary. Limited choice and poor coffee machine did not help. We also had the half board option that included dinner. Options were very limited and I would not recommend taking this option. Wine list is very good and I think the regular menu in the restaurant is good.

“Peacefully located hotel with charming staff and great food.”

The hotel is peacefully located a short distance from Lake Bohinj. The staff were very friendly and dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Our package included some home made chocolate and a free massage but sadly we left early because the weather was unseasonably cool and very wet and drove to Venice. Lake Bohinj is beautiful and I would love to return for cycling, walking and swimming during the summer months. I would definitely recommend Art Hotel Kristal.

Vary nice hotel located near the lake. The breakfast is good and the staff is vary helpful. There is a restaurant where it is possible to take a dinner and drink local wine .

“Great find lovely family run hotel”

Lovely location an easy walk through the village to town. Food was excellent and set meal really good value for money. Staff really made our stay all very welcoming and knowledgeable about their areas of expertise food wine and chocolate !

We had a wonderful stay at this charming family-run art hotel over the weekend. The location was absolutely perfect, within walking distance of Lake Bohinj, making it an ideal base for relaxing and exploring the area. The hotel itself had a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We especially loved the unique setup, the beautiful surroundings, and the stunning mountain views from our room. Everything felt peaceful and quiet, which made it easy to truly unwind and relax. Our room was comfortable, nicely designed, and offered a fantastic view of the mountains. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with delicious food and a great overall dining experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. Considering the quality of the accommodation, service, and location, we felt the hotel offered excellent value for money. Overall, this was a lovely experience, and we would happily stay here again.

No need to travel to enjoy and very good meal at the end of the day. A very good breakfast was provided each morning

We enjoyed every moment here! The room was super clean, it had everything we needed, plus a nice view! Breakfast was delicious, we were amazed by the food served for dinner! Pure excellence! Service was perfect and all the people working there were extremely nice! We would love to come back! All the best!

“Wonderful”

Super friendly staff and a lovely hotel in an idyllic location. Less than 10 mins walk to the lake. Dinner in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was also lovely although we found a few things had run out when we arrived (but the hotel was quiet so we understand they would not want to waste food). We didn’t use the spa.

Food and staff were exceptional. We went skiing to Vogel for a few days and we stayed here - it has plenty of parking space, room for skis and ski equipment and it was very close to Vogel ski resort by car.

“Charming boutique getaway embraced by the lake and mountains”

It is our second time here, enjoying in charming, cozy rustic botique hotel. Parking included, by foot to the lake in 5 minutes. Breakfast is delicious, level up, as diabetic l have variety options. The team provides a warm, personal, and home-like experience. We are definatelly going to be back again soon!
