Great location. The beach opposite has a great beach bar and was the best beach on the island. Room and bathroom were a good size and had Aircon, would stay again!

The location -the beach was right across the road, steps away. Richard was a great host. Very friendly, helpful and informative. He gave great recommendations. The room was huge. It was a quiet location with a nice little garden and the resident cat. Free water and coffee.

“Wind down in the caribbean”

The location is outside the village opposite a very nice small beach and a beautiful decorated restaurant called Pipa. Water, shared fridges and hammocks are provided. The room was spacious, clean and the beds comfy. This accomodation is perfect for you, if you seek relaxation. Reading a book while listening to the ocean in a hammock kinda vibe. Besides the village or other places are only a cab ride away (1-2$).

Richard (the owner) was really nice and helpful. Always with a smile, he helped us plan our time in bocas del toro, explained about the transportation, local reccomandations etc.

Great stay in a super clean and comfortable accommodation with nice sitting area and pool in a lovely garden. Richard is a great and very kind host who is always willing to help. Quiet and secure area with a good restaurant nearby.

Nice outside space with a bench, table and hammock. Good restaurant and beach club just across the road. Suitable for swimming. Taxi to/from town only 2 dollars

Very nice place, clean, Richard is very kind and helpful. Location is good, outside of Bocas but still close enough to walk there. Beautiful, peaceful garden to relax. Nice beach and restaurant just across the srreet.

Big room. The restaurant/bar across the road is brilliant and has a fab beach. I could hear the waves from the sea while sleeping. Good Aircon and a fan. Good wifi

Richard was an exceptionally great host. He gave us tips, provided us with free water, always prepared a delicious breakfast and organized a cab for our journey home. Great rooms with everything you need. Beautiful view of the sea at breakfast. Just across the road is the beach and a lovely restaurant that has just opened. You can rent bicycles nearby. You can get into town in a few minutes by cab for 1-2 USD. It takes about 40 minutes on foot. You are close to the center, but still have your peace and quiet. Everything was perfect and I can recommend it to anyone!

Amazing host, always willing to give useful information and recommendations. Tasty breakfast (yummy panqueques) and comfortable room. Puntito the cat and Sombra the dog made our stay even better!

“Peaceful paradise in Bocas Del Toro. Highly recommended .”

We loved our stay so much that we extended it by 4 nights . Richard is a perfect and very kind host with great information on the sights to see. His property is immaculate , crisp white linen , fabulous hot shower and rooms are spacious and very clean . Our room had a patio area with couch and hammock . Richard makes a superb breakfast if you choose this option . His friendly dog Sombra was delightful, as is the curious cat . The pool was pristine and cool surrounded by palms . The beach is just over the road and you can hear the waves as you fall asleep . It’s a little bit out of the town but we found this ideal as it’s quiet and you get to see and hear the howler monkeys around you. The local taxis are only $1-2 per person to Sol y sombra . We would choose to walk a short distance to take the cheaper $1 fare . It’s close to the bus to starfish beach which was a favourite trip of ours and even saw two sloth on the walk thru to the beach. I highly recommend this accommodation and the price was good value compared to other nearby properties.

Very nice and super helpful host. We also liked Sombra the dog, and the location was really nice. Our room was clean and quite big. After being in a horrible accommodation before, this felt like coming home to a friendly and welcoming environment. Thank you, Richard!

“Brilliant stay in Bocas”

Lovely and clean room with a nice pool area to lie out. Getting a taxi to town was only $2 dollars or just $1 with a short walk. Incredibly kind host and lovely dog!

- Super nice host, Richard had some good tips for us - breakfast was nice (great scrambled eggs and pancakes) (12$ pp.) - we got a bigger room than we booked :)
